Ok, Im online because Firefox will run and IE wont because of trojans and viruses. I downloaded removers and my PC is still jacked up, some scans took 27 hours and didnt fix anything. Slow PC, programs dont open, slow everything. AntiVir Guard, Ad-Aware SE personal, BitDefender, all those microsoft scaners, Norton, nothing is helping me, I cant even reinstall windows because my version of XP is higher then the XP on the disc. Mcfree and Symantic arent helping at all, I have so many files and programs on my PC, can someone give me a real program to fix my PC, please and thank you?

first off, mcafee and norton dont cut it when it comes to trojans. I suggest AVG, but you can get the free trial off download.com, or you could call professionals like geek squad. hope that helps.

Unfortunately, really bad trojan and malware infections can corrupt a system so badly that sometimes you have to cut your losses, reformat the drive and reinstall from scratch.

I find that Spybot search & destroy is quite good at removing this kind of thing- it also has an immunize feature that helps prevent them from getting into your system in the first place- it's usually one of the first programs I install on new computers.

You can try a free house call from Trend Micro (it's a remote virus scan over the Internet, accessed from their website) but it's slow and doesn't usually find anything that other programs didn't.

There's also www.trojanscan.com, but I've never tried it.

Avast, Ad-aware, and crap cleaner always do the job for me.They're all free and are better than commercial products that tell you something is merely there. McAffee told me I had problems, but it decided that it didn't want to deal with it... >_< I found Avast able and capable of handling it. Its free too! Crap cleaner and ad-aware are both good programs that will take out the rest of the stuff and are also good for those hyper-paranoid freaks because ccleaner can rewrite over multiple files to completely erase data.

Good luck! IE 6 is a bummer to deal with. I've switched over to IE7 beta.
