America is the land of freedom...People want to come here...

Does anyone else believe this era needs to be gone....?

It would be nice if America was still truly a welcoming port for the tired, and the poor....but it is now a welcoming port for illegal liars and financially backed haters of our country.

I'm getting to the point where I'd like a president, current or future, to just say....look, we are not the melting pot anymore....it's over...times have changed...

Does anyone else feel like this?

It's nice how people actually read a question before answering...No just kidding....just read the question line and answer, don't go further, just read the question line and answer on your own assumption.

This is not a hate based question. So stop treating it as such and think.

well my dear iwannarevolt....revolt on this...

the illegal liars are those that come into our country and work amongst us. How do they work? They provide false SSN's. SSN's of deceased or stolen SSN's. They seek employers who do not question this. Think about employers who wouldn't question this. Thanks, you see how illegals are restricted to certain jobs.

Financially backed are those with gifted money for the sole purpose of coming into our country, receiving our level of education, training and observing us, just to report back to one leader who can dispatch troops accordingly. One financially backed terrorist can cause damage. 20+ financially backed terrorists in the US can kill 3000 citizens and collapse skyscrapers.

I don't want these sob's to be allowed freedom in our country anymore. That should never happen again.

I understand how you feel, honey. We're the big kids on the planet now, so everyone throws stones. However, if we stand for anything, we stand for the rights of the individual to make of her/himself whatever she/he can. That includes the right to immigrate legally. And the truth is that some of our best citizens have been legal immigrants.

No, I don't feel that way at all. How can you tell that this country is now a welcoming port for illegal 'liars' and 'financially backed haters' of our country anyhow? The only liars that I can think of are the ones running this country and the last time I checked the reason why were once a welcoming port for the tired, the poor was because back then we didn't have this long drawn out process to become a legal citizen in this country that would end up draining people of their money if they've saved some up; unfortunately that long drawn out process to become a legal citizen is so commonplace today that most think that it's always been the way that people entered this country legally. Its sad to see that some people are too ignorant to realize that NO terrrorist has come into this country through the border between the Southwestern states and Mexico. There hasn't been any actual proof of that.

I don't think this era should be gone because of a few know-nothings can't seem to handle the fact that white people are no longer going to be the majority in the future. It's bad enough we have the minuteklan 'protecting' our borders(yes the minuteklan because they're white supremacists who wish to 'protect' our borders from 'terrorists' and illegal immigrants, they're nothing more than a group of ignorant xenophobes afraid of the immigrants trying to make a better life for themselves). This country was never a xenophobic one and I do NOT wish for it to be that way any time soon.

First of all, YOU'RE assuming that all illegals do that sort of thing. Some actually come over here for work on something called a temporary visa. How are the illegals who do commit that kind of fraud supposed to know that the number they used was once the Social Security number of a deceased person? They don't realize that they committed a crime for until they get handcuffs slapped around their wrists. You think that all illegals are like that when there are some who are working in this country to get a better life for them and their families, and are actually paying taxes and whatnot. Plus, there IS NO PROOF that the mexicans crossing this border illegally are terrorists, that's just another claim brought forth by the minuteklan and any other xenophobe out there like them(you excluded of course). So take your revolt on this bullcrap and shove it!

What about this as an example? "Immigration Laws"1. If you migrate to this country, you must speak the native language.

2. You have to be a professional or an investor.
No unskilled workers allowed.

3. There will be no special bilingual programs
in the schools, no special ballots for elections,
all government business will be conducted in
our language.

4. Foreigners will NOT have the right to vote
no matter how long they are here.

5. Foreigners will NEVER be able to hold
political office.

6. Foreigners will not be a burden to the
taxpayers. No welfare, no food stamps, no
health care, or other government assistance
programs.

7. Foreigners can invest in this country, but
it must be an amount equal to 40,000 times
the daily minimum wage.

8. If foreigners do come and want to buy land
that will be okay, BUT options will be restricted.
You are not allowed waterfront property. That
is reserved for citizens naturally born into this
country.

9. Foreigners may not protest; no demonstrations,
no waving a foreign flag, no political organizing,
no bad-mouthing our president or his policies;
if you do you will be sent home.

10. If you do come to this country illegally,
you will be hunted down and sent straight
to jail.

Harsh, you think?

The above laws happen to be the immigration
laws of MEXICO!

It's only like this because the immigrants (meaning every single american, including myself and my family who've been here since before it was America) believed that America meant a better life. Their life wherever they came from was bad, so they packed up and came here and it was mostly still bad. Nashua NH is like that. It was voted #1 city in the USA twice, so everyone flocked to it because they wanted their kids to grow up well, and now we have all sorts of gang violence because of that.

You fail to recognize how many people were turned away at Ellis Island and other times in our history. You are attempting to rewrite history and it doesn't work.

What part of 'illegal' do you not understand?

If you don't like it then maybe you should go back to where your ancestors came from and then try to get back into America and see if your view doesn't change. It is easy to say when you have as much as you do. Maybe it's time to add compassion to your list of things you need. I'm not trying to be mean I just think that people have forgotten their own roots.

Canada and the US have been equal opportunity refuges but haven't been screening the people they let in good enough. There's also enough questionables that have been born and bred in America who have caused harm and shame.

Thank God the govmt is not as idiotic as you. Without immigrants, this country is doomed. You be a 3rd world rathole and trying to emigrate to Europe. Guess what, after all the humiliation, we won't take you!
ANd your silly post proved that you are against ALL poor immigrants, not just illegal. Nazi!

i completely agree with you. i've long thought it would be a wise idea to prohibit entry into a region without full past history checks, etc.

Now excuse me while I smuggle my laptop across the US-Mexican border, amigo...

no i don't. i think america treats foreigners as if they are nobody's. we act like we are so superior but we're not. if someone wants to come to america why cant they? america is nothing but a selfish, self centered country that thinks the world revolves around them.
