Well first we would demand they release the President within the hour. When that didn;t happen we send a tank towards the border, actually any green truck moving northbound would do.

Since Canada has no armed services to speak of, because the US provides them with military protection (where do you think the money to support socialized medicine comes from?). Being of French decent they would surrender at the mere threat of hostilities.

They'd raise the white flag and send the President home.

Your link isn't working. RE: Bush being arrested in Switzerland: "it is not likely. An "preliminary assessment" by utilising the Swiss Justice Ministry desperate that the former president might have immunity from prosecution for his strikes mutually as in place of work, a ministry spokesman advised The linked Press. The activist communities disputed that. yet whether Bush would have been pronounced on expenses, prosecutors might probable have run out of time to inspect them and take action earlier he left the rustic." Bush skipped his holiday to Switz via secuirty themes, yet some won't have self belief that. it is not likely that he may be arrested or tried.

Acting President Cheney would demand the return of Pres. Bush to US soil.

If Canada refused, a military operation would be launched against wherever the Canadians were holding the President with the intent to rescue him and bring him back to the US.

That could potentially start a US-Canadian War, which would last all of 15 minutes before the Canadian 'Army' is wiped out.

It would be a violation of international law and an act of war. Diplomats have rights under numerous laws to protect them from that. It would have to go through an international tribunal before an arrest warrant can even be issued.

Ha HA ha ha that would make me laugh till i peed my pants! But unlikely to ever happen - messing with the head of state of any country (not just the US) is asking for trouble. Plus Canada still has close ties to the commonwealth an we all know Tony Blair wants to marry Georgie boy.

Its interesting to read comments from others here - you can tell the americans with such total belief in their army :)

We can't get Bin-Laden, Taliban, or those pesky Iraqis, but everybody seems to think we could handle Canada, maybe Quebec, but not the whole country, look at current events.
