This is a sign of the disgraceful way that the federal government in it in ability to pass an immigration law gets, this is the same spot in California that said if we did pass strict laws against immigration in this country they would not enforce them, when we as a people demand that something be done about such actions and then take it to the polls to oust those that do not see the point in Washington only then will we get something done, it is my opinion that we should cut off all government service such as roads, money ect to Maywood, we should also support the bill passed in other states that say if you have illegals working for you that we do not fine but we do repossess your business license, and then start doing it only then will we see change, there is a better way and that is since they are leaving their country and want to come here we should invade New Mexico and make it part of the United States we need a new state anyhow.

Yes, I was there. People are asking why this city is allowing this to happen. The mayor, vice mayor and city council are all latino. They want Maywood to become part of Mexico. The police take orders from the mayor and they forced the Americans to walk through the group of pro illegal supporters. That is why several Americans were attacked. People need to wake up. I was tossed into the opposition (read pro-illegal) beaten, kicked, punched, hit in the head with full water/soft drink bottles, and had handfuls of my hair pulled out by approximately two to three dozen men, with a couple of she-witches thrown in to keep things balanced, as at least two policemen watched without intervention.

I carried no flag, no signs, wore no patriotic "red-flag" clothing; they had no way of knowing whether I was there on behalf of one of the socialist organizations to support them, or if I were there to support Save Our State. I was singled out, cut off from the people I walked in with who were Black, Asian, and dark-headed Caucasians, and thrown into the crowd to be eaten alive because of one thing. I am a blonde haired, blue eyed, WHITE woman. This was a racially motivated hate crime, pure and simple.

Another woman (also blonde) was pushed, shoved, spit on, verbally abused, and had her personal property destroyed. A 79 year old man was physically attacked and left bleeding. He had to run into an auto parts store to get away from the mob.

These are your "hardworking immigrants." Yes indeed, they are doing the jobs Americans won't do, and those jobs now include the beating of vulnerable women and elder abuse.
