Why are people so judgemental about Muslims? We didn't do anything so why are we being seen as bad people? Just because other people are bad?.... Why should you judge and be so cruel when white, black, asian, and whatever do bad s-h-i-t all the time!!! But do you see them being treated bad EVERYWHERE YOU GO?...

People cannot be "racist" against muslims since being muslim is not a race but a religon. But many people incorrectly assume that anyone who appears to be arab etc is a muslim.
So actually they have a huge problem with a religon which has a current leadership in osme parts of the world that calls for the destruction of those who are infidels/ non muslims and those who convert to another religon . They are just ill informed people who make faulty assumptions about ones faith based on appearance.
So why the issue with muslims ? the reason that many have a problem with all muslims is because a very visable minority of muslims across the world believe and have seriously acted on the belief that their religon demands the murder of those who are not muslims..many even believe that they should kill other muslims who are not as conservative as they are. In other words the muslim faith does not allow religous freedom - therefore as a community (USA)that places incredible importance on this freedom it is not a suprise that many non muslims are not inclined to be very generous after 9-11 and it's root cause ...extreme muslim followers.
It is threatening if you are a christian, non believer, buddhist, or a muslim women, man or leader who thinks differently and when leaders teach that you deserve to be killed and your followers go and do it like on 9-11.
While at various times in history and at the present moment..other religons have been used as an excuse to do harm to others, the islamic muslim faith is the only major religon which clearly calls for in its writings and at some of it's mosque around the world for followers to kill those whom they deem evil, infidels and immoral.
In other words people mistakenly assume that if you are arab in looks that you are muslim and they should have an issue with you . Thus they are thinking it is scary for muslims who live in the land of the free to hold a religous faith that in some ways calls for the destruction of those of us who are not muslims or those muslims who do not agree enough with the most conservative/fanatic leaders of the muslim faith.
but then again I think we in the US are trying to be very fair and sensitive even to the point of being silly and overboard to do so.. for example--when it is middle eastern men between ages of 20-35 who have been primary terrorists we are spending millions of dollars and hours searching 85 year old grandmas from Montana just so muslims won't be offended.

How can people be racist against Muslims? Islam isn't a race it is a religion. Muslims belong to many different races. As far as being treated poorly, welcome to the human race. For some reason there are too many people in this world who treat people that are different than them badly. If you think about it though, are the people who act like this really people you want to associate with anyhow? I mean people who are so intolerant of and judgmental really aren't the kind of people that I like to be around anyhow. Just go ahead and let them isolate themselves in their own hatred and spend your time around people who listen to you and respect you for who you really are.

Most people are ignorant, low level of understanding of religion or have real knowledge of any faith. They go by what they see and hear on TV/media and then stereotype religios folks based on that. Unfortunately the news on TV or media are all bad news.
As for Islam, well you must have to admit that what they view about Islam is violence e.g. 9/11, present day terrorist activity, calls for Jihad, a call to kill Salman Rushdie etc..

it is wrong for u to say that all people are rascists. there are many good people who will listen to u but u too have to reach out to them.
those who make a mistake are criticized, but sometimes the criticism is taken to a whole new level. if u are a muslim then let me remind u something Allah said in the Quran.

Yes this is true, it is sad for my children too. they are young and do not understand why people have cussed me, thrown beer at me and spat at me for wearing a scarf on my head.
I just try to set a good example no matter where i go and pray that will help people change their negative opinions.

relax. i said before, the whole world misunderstood islam. they thought all muslims are bad. but its not that case at all. its because of some physcos who took islam into their own hands, and twist the whole religion into somthing evil, and these physcos call it islam. thats why the whole world misunderstood this religion.

"Muslim" is not a race. I can't speak for other people's decisions, but one thing is for sure. You are prejudice. Not ALL people discriminate Muslims-though you seem to condemn everyone.
