Eat as many as you want. A few decades ago, a prominent diet doctor recommended against it because there is measurable cholesterol in egg yolks. (Cholesterol is NOT a fat, it is a sterol, and neither the yolks or the albumen, which is the white, have any fat whatsoever).

Other people disagreed with the dietary limitation on egg yolks.

Still other medical people did a HUGE study, which was published in NEJM, (New England Journal of Medicine). Participants were broken up into three groups. Those who ate no eggs, those who ate 3 eggs per week and those who at 12 eggs per week. The study went on for a long time. At the start, some had high cholesterol measurements, some had medium and some had low. Their levels did not change throughout or at the termination of the study. Conclusion: Egg consumption has no influence on cholesterol levels. Eat all you want.

Current theory upholds that conclusion and that the saturated animal fats are more the culprit ,and that eggs and seafood/shellfish are safe to eat, since they lack the attendant saturated fat.

But boy, that one piece of misinformation sure does have legs, doesn't it?

At least 2 dozen by noon. Only kidding!
I like eating 3 eggs for breakfast everyday.
2 complete eggs and the 3rd egg I take out the yoke.
Yoke contains cholesterol&fat which you don't want a lot of.

You should egg whites they are much better for you than the yolks. The don't have any fat. I never eat the yolk and when cooking or baking I will omit the yolk and use an extra egg white to make up for it. Two if the eggs are small.

its not good to eat eggs everyday, so you can have two in 1 day but just dont eat them everyday, you can eat them 2-3 times a week.

The cholesterol in eggs does not cause high cholesterol. This site tells what does and how the high protein diet of Americans kills most of them. Also tells how chicken or tuna is no better than beef!
