Has anyone ever heard of this happening, and do you know what specifically could've caused my allergic reaction?

ahw dude! thats nasty....
it may be more of an infection than an allergic reaction....
raw chickens are supposed to be very prone to salmonella.... maybe you should try some benadryl and antibiotic ointment.... the benadryl in case it's an allergy and the ointment in case it's a bug... good luck!

More than likely you have a bacterial infection on your skin. Over-the-counter antibiotics are not going to cure it, so you need to go to the doctor so they can prescribe an antibiotic (probably oral AND topical). Do this quickly before it spreads please. If it gets into your blood stream it can be EXTREMELY dangerous. Good luck.
