Wow this is such a sweeping generalization. First of all, evangelical Christians fall on both sides of this particular fence. Secondly, scientists are also divided on this issue as well. (Just because one view is more widely reported doesn't mean it is more widely held.) Third, even those who question global warming don't necessarily question all aspects of it. They may accept parts of the argument and challenge other parts.

Some Christians object to the way global warming is packaged in a humanistic world view and has been used to promote various agendas that attack Christian values and beliefs. For example, global warming has sometimes been used as a catalyst to promote population control through abortion, sterilization, and a limit in the number of children a family can have.

It is not that evangelical christians not believe in global warming. Some people you know not believe in global warming just happen to be a christian. There will sure be some evangelical christians who believe in global warming. See the difference?

Just because something is "widely accepted" doesn't mean that it is true...

I am not an evangelical christian, but I'm VERY skeptical about global warming. There is SO MUCH conflicting scientific data on the this theory that I am not willing to just blindly accept it...as someone who sounds skeptical of Christians (of people believing things on faith alone) I am surprised that you believe in global warming...

Evolution is all but proven and they don't believe in it. The thing about global warming is that it does happen, but we are not the cause. A single volcanic eruption puts off more greenhouse gasses than we do in decades. Also, the whole in the ozone layer is getting smaller. Wouldn't you think that if we were the cause, the earth would have warmed faster when the hole was bigger instead of now when it is shrinking?

What makes you think that evangelical Christians don't consider global warming a threat? According to one poll, about 70% of evangelicals DO worry about global warming:

Also, check out this link on the "Evangelical Climate Initiative:"

They might think that Bush is Jesus coming back to save the world, but apparently they don't agree with him on the global warming issue.

It doesn't have to do with being a Christian it has to do with the claims of the people who say there is global warming and the way they go about "proving" it

Pat Robertson does. Many evangelicals do, actually.

Here's an article about Robertson's "conversion" if you don't believe me:

So, the world is getting warmer on the surface. Look at it this way, the earth is cooling down in the middle....

Because they do not think that God would allow such a thing to happen to the Earth. It's such a dangerous way of looking at it, because it means that they think we can do anything to the Earth and God will eventually save us from ourselves.
