Ok, hear me out. There are many gaps in evolutionary theory and among some mentioned on this site is the "missing link." Provided that no evolutionist is reasonably sure that they have found the missing species commonly reffered to as the "missing link" yet many believe that some day they will have the answers. Some day they will see the un-seen. Couldn't you call this faith? In contrast, Christians and creationists can't wait to see their creator. So do evolutionists hope to one day discover a new Homo-* ? Yet many evolutionists and atheists alike criticize the idea of having faith in the un-seen. What are your thoughts? Thank you.

There is a third group my friend. Those that believe that God was smart enough to create something that evolves and learns. In other words, God created evolution.

Remember, You have to be inspired to have faith and science.

Take care.

My thoughts? I think you need a better education in biology.

"There are many gaps in evolutionary theory "

No, there aren't. Rather than reading creationist websites, you should probably pick up a biology textbook.

"the "missing link." "

There is no "missing link"; that's an idea borne of a fundamental misunderstanding of how evolution works.

"many believe that some day they will have the answers. Some day they will see the un-seen. Couldn't you call this faith?"

No. Hope is quite different from faith. I think we'll know many of the answers to modern unknowns eventually, but that's just a suspicion of mine; i'm well aware that the likelihood of not finding certain answers is also pretty good.

If you'd like to learn about biology, email me and i can give you some good links on the net. Or go to a university and buy some textbooks. But the net is cheaper.

Since both evolution and creationism are theories on how we came to be and where we came from, both require faith to be believed. While evolution has more basis in physical fact and science, it is not fully 100% clear on the entire story of how man has evolved over the years or why the DNA for everything on this planet is interconnected.

Evolution and the belief that there is a God do not mutually exclude one another. There can be evolution and still all have been created by God, am not sure why people can never come to that conclusion.

Actually, the problem with your question is -- we do have a fairly complete fossil record. The 'missing link' is just an old term that was true for quite a long while that the anti-evolutionist have clung to even though we have a really good fossil record now of the evolution of human beings.

The only faith it takes to accept the truth of evolution is that the scientific method and mathematics are complete and valid. That's not to say complete as in 'we know everything' but complete as in 'the systems are self-consistent and given any of the known information it is possible to come to other logical conclusions that are still self-consistent with the rest'.

It's sad that some people can't seem to see the validity of ur question and point of view without attacking religion. I agree with you totally that evolutionist must have faith. Evolution is not completed regardless of what little evidence that they have supposedly found. Evolution has a lot of holes and will never be completed because of the mindset of individuals who want to discredit religion and it's followers. God will always intervene. The people on here are ignorant to post links that discredit creationism. God exists and he did created everything and everyone. Well done!
God bless!

You ask: "...evolutionists have faith too?" -- Yes, they do.

Excuse me, but you combined a persons career with his/her religion.

Finding the beginnings of humans arrival, is not religious, it's a detective type quest for knowledge. God has gifted humans with different gifts for a reason. People that gather and answer questions for their career, have a separate religious life. Mathematicians and brick layers; bankers and thieves; (insert career here_________) keep their career separate - why can't the scientific community? There must be a creationist scientist - why not?
All humanity is waiting, in their own free will way, for GOD to arrive. Please don't force people to think your way. FORCE IS WRONG.
Humans have a drive to prove the unseen, the undo-able. How else did we make it to the moon, or ocean floor? transplants hearts and other organs? Feed so many people? Cure diseases?
The unseen drives us all.
Even the young - it's unclear if she'll go out with him - but he makes the attempt, why? Why study?
These are a few thoughts,
Peace.

No - faith is not needing anything to validate your belief. It is literally "belief without evidence".

"Evolution" is an observable fact. Evolutionary theory is a constantly refined tool used to explain this observable fact.
The fact there are holes in explanation is exciting, because it is the forefront of new scientific discoveries.

Religion & faith, on the other hand, tend to plug these holes with "God made it that way", and drop any further investigation.

They are complete opposites.

Evolutionists are exactly what they are, the are not religious because they dont have faith, they dont not believe in God, because they are not aethiests due to the fact that they dont deny God exists, and they are just scientists looking for an answer on their own, without God, without faith, without religious understanding. They are trying to unravel the mystery of life in which God has so decently created.

It all depends on your definition of faith. Some would say faith is simply believing in something. Others would say it is blindly walking in to something. We evolutionists will never find a link between modern humans and modern apes. We had a common ancestor, and branched off from there. Yes, there are a few gaps in evolution, but it makes sense, and facts show we are evolving.

that's a useful aspect, notwithstanding that's likewise comparable to the "did God create Himself" arguement. A theory attempting to describe this signifies that existence ought to have come to earth through a meteor. this isn't as far fetched because it ought to look, the universe is of a length that there pretty a lot must be different existence someplace. for sure then you definitely ought to ask the position that existence got here from origionally. it type of feels once you look at evolution or creationism like this, the in simple terms opportunities are that something once got here from not something, or that aspect isn't straightfoward in the way we interpret it. i imagine perhaps our measly human brains ought to in no way have the capacity to comprehend it, yet of route something got here about. once you extremely question this, not something seems conceivable. notwithstanding i don't think of this arguement can disprove evolution. there's a lot evidence helping it. yet, that's a stunning aspect. EDIT: ignore to point the chemical soup theory! because the guy below me says, there is actual quite some evidence putting forward it truly is conceivable, that's, that nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen and carbon existed in ideal circumstances to in a roundabout way create amino acids, then proteins, then existence. you ought to carry out slightly study into this. once you ought to be a creationist a minimum of be a nicely suggested one. And its very exciting!
