The real reason is the male priests would go beserk in dealing with female that has the monthly menstration. Think about it. The priests wear white robes. Can you imagine how much blood stain would be there if women were wearing them? Now do you understand why nuns always wear really dark clothings. When their periods come, the uniform can be washed. The blood stains would be very hard to see or to find.

if you mean priest as in church, then the reason is because it's against the Bible. women aren't allowed to become them for some reason. instead, they are to become the ones that have to cook 24/7 and be the maid. lol.
