So when it started in 1492 (October 12) and then it went on until 1777 when those who came first suddenly felt a shortage of space and started to shed their blood with so called their-former-roots aliens for our america (in accounting terms it sounds like FIFO - first in fight the others). So what was all the shedding of blood about and why blood shed at that times instils you with so much pride - it was the choice of then settlers after all - they didn't fight invaders. So may I infer that immigrants are not invaders??????

well i would agree with you but look at what happened 9/11/01 the reason everyone is trying to keep immigrants out is so that nothing like this can happen again. And also, yes i am a proud american i feel like your question is sooooooooo wrong. You need to learn one thing, this is America. We do things for a reason not just because we want to. I will say it loud and say it proud. I think we should keep all immigrants out of this country. If you can not learn to speak and learn our history then you should not be in this country. I am not racist either, i do know that most people come to this country for freedom and i dont want to sound like im being rude, if you want to come here then get a green card and make it legal. If you look at all the things that have happened in the past with immigrants, the drug smuggling, again 9/11 and other things you would not ask this question. YES ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS ARE INVADERS!

Here is what I don't get you people say that the right hates immigrants but what you don't seem to get is that we just dislike the illegal ones. There is a process and I know that it is hard. There are reasons for that like preserving our culture and the economy. You try to make the statement that illegal immigrants do jobs that legal citizens won't, and maybe that's true. However when I was in the military I didn't see many illegal immigrants in the armed forces, I don't see many illegal immigrant coal miners, and I'm sure that there are job which are out there that illegals won't do but legals will.

So to answer what I think was you question, yes they are invaders. The fact that they come into the illegally, use our medical hospitals and leave tax payers to pay the bill, and that there meer pressence is causing crime rates to increase and job availability to decrease signifies that there effects are hostile and therefore they are in relation to it. Anyway before I end this answer I just want to ask one question. If having a lower income "working class" base is so important then why aren't countries like Mexico, the Republic of Congo, or North Korea economic superpowers?

NO you can't they are invaders just as the Indians felt the settlers were invaders, but that does not justify the current immigration crime being committed by Mexicans now and you know it. And next time take some time to read your own post it doesn't make much sense. And I also note that once again a pro-illegal immigrant type has resorted to name calling to try to justify the fact that people are invading this country. And say why is the Mexican army on you southern borders turning back people from El. Salvador, Nicaragua and countries south.

In 1492 was there a sovereign government around in the new world? Where there borders that were clearly defined? Unlike today these things didn't exist. Now we have a sovereign government here in the U. S. We have clearly define borders and a set of laws that govern this land,. And when you break those laws and enter the U. S. illegally that makes you an invader and you should be exported back to your country of origin and your country of residence should be billed for your transportation back. Now shut the **** up, quit abusing the welfare system and go home!

Americans are not proud to have been a part of all of the happenings beginning in 1492 be it landing here, settling here, running the indigenous peoples from their homes, slavery, you name it.
Get a clue, no one is proud of everything their nation ever did. Where your family came from I'm sure the entire history of that nation was sweetness and light-or not. We are proud of the country in which we live, the majority of our way of life, the people who live here and the people who have protected us; our right to live here, and our right to live as we do. We have nothing to be ashamed of in being proud of our country-and so we are NOT ashamed. Instead-go figure-we are proud. We are an established nation now and a damned good one. We as Americans have not invaded our own country in years and years... Because it is our country now. OUR country...want to be a part of it? Fine with us, come in with the light in your face and your head held high-legally. NO one owes illegal aliens free reign in our country. This would include the legal immigrants who are now Americans and might I mention, proud ones. Not going to apologize because our ancestors won. Every nation on earth was established by the people who won. That is not a slam on those who didn't; it's just a simple fact that holds true for the entire earth and yet seems to be a cheap source of blame only when flung at the U.S. If this country is full of narcissistic butchers why are so many people crawling across our borders?

You're goofy. Our ancestors left our former roots for a better life. They found it here and fought for it.

So no, immigrants are not invaders...we are all immigrants.

Illegal immigrants are invaders. They come, they work cheap under stolen or false ID's. They find loopholes to which they recieve monetary support from our government. Our government recieved their money from actual citizens, with real SSN's.

This whole argument is so repetitive....what are you fighting for....an illegal to come here, steal a SSN....work for cash, not pay taxes, recieve free medical, they all live together in a home for 5 years not paying taxes, branch out, buy homes and live the American dream that most Americans can't live....

They all need to be checked in and be accounted for and all be held accountable...then maybe one day, my kids may see most of their paycheck instead of it looking like my husbands....the current federal tax line should have a percentage readout that says, "here's what you pay to support all the people who we can't account for, but they are robbing you!!!"

The coffee is brewin' America....time to wake up.

Legal immigrants are not invaders, illegal immigrants are! Why do you keep going on about us terrible Americans when you want to be here with us? We developedd our country so you go develope yours! Yes the first Americans did the Native Americans dirty. We fought for freedom from the British and then took some of the land from the Native Americans. There were mistakes but every country makes them and has them going on all the time. We are staying in our country to fight our troubles and I cannot understand why so many illegals want to "RUN AWAY FROM PROBLEMS IN THEIR OWN COUNTRIES INSTEAD OF STANDING UP AND MAKING THEIR COUNTRY A PLACE TO BE PROUD OF INSTEAD OF WHINING ABOUT AMERICANS WANTING ONLY LEGALS IN AMERICA!"Go home and work on your problems instead of wrecking our opportunities that were designed to help our disabled, elderly, sick, and children. And now illegals can get our social security?!We love all peoples! America is made up of immigrants and Native Americans and we still offer citizenship to those from countries who will apply and go through the correct procedure to get here. We are just tired of so many illegals swamping our country and making problems for our homeland. Why can't you see and understand that?

Sure you can infer whatever. It won't mean life won't be a hard life for the immigrant. Got a little lost when reading your question. Get the impression you are also saying /questioning the right of Americans to be proud????

Your question is all over the place and very hard to understand. It's almost like you are saying a little part of many things because you think they are related, but to us who don't know what your talking about, it makes little sense.

You need a composition class in English.

In the future if you try to put down Americans, use only proper English. Also use a concept called understandability.
