You'll get 100 different opinions from 100 people on that question. Chicago has 1000's of hot dog stands. They're all good if they have the yellow "Vienna Hot Dogs" sold here sign.
The ones listed above are great... along with, "Wolfy's," "Fluky's," "Tasty Dog," and of course the famous "Super Dawg."

Portillos...I live outta state and every time I come back to IL I have to go to Portillos! Da Best! By the way, why do so many outofstaters think a Chicago dog is served with catsup and God forbid if they remember the celery salt! PS who else gets annoyed when Illinois is mispronounced?

My favorite is Jimmy's on Pulaski and North Avenue. The hot dogs are steamed and crisp to the taste. They also give you a boatload of fries free with your order.
