More info: My footnote is inserted on page 17, and at the bottom of page 17, I see the first line of my footnote, but the remaining 3 lines of footnote text are at the bottom of page 18. This is happening several times in my document, but not everytime. Some footnotes that are longer than this one are having no problem.

Anything you can recommend will be helpful. Thank you in advance!

This is from Word Help:

Microsoft Word automatically moves the part of the footnote that does not fit in the available space to the next page. The amount of available space depends on the amount of text on the page, the margin settings for the document, and the number and length of the footnotes.

So it seems you just have to leave more room.

you could try not entering as much text in the body of your paper on the pages that have the "longer" footnotes.
