I'm dating this really awesome guy and his religion is a very big part of his life. I have never been baptized. I think this may pose a problem in the future. What do you think you would do in this case if you were me or him. I really am interested in being baptized but dont know what to do about it. I have my own beliefs but am interested in his as well. I really think that a relationship is possible with him on all the other levels but this level is very important as well.

It sounds like you are a sensitive person for whom faith/belief/religion is an important issue. If, as you say, it is an important part of his life, too, then maybe the best thing you can do is to try to explore it as part of your relationship. In other words, learn about each others' beliefs in an open-minded way - not to try to convince or convert each other, but to just try to understand each other. See where that leads you, and perhaps you will find your answer without trying to. Maybe it will bring you closer together, or maybe it will make it clear that things could not work out between you. Either way, it will be for the best because it will lead you to the truth of how you relate to one another on all levels.

All the best...

I think that you should get Baptized when you are ready and not before. Now have the two of you talked about him being Baptized? What is holding you back? Are you waiting for a sign? If you really want to be Baptized meet with your Pastor and see what he thinks. If you do not attend Church, meet with the Pastor that the guy you are dating goes to. I got Baptized 17 years ago. It was an unbelievable experience.

Baptism is an act where after you take in accurate knowledge of God and his son Jesus, you turn your life over to the two of them and you follow the command from them to preach the good news of the kingdom to others. Then you get baptized by full immersion in water where you are totally submerged under the water and then you will be officially baptized. You should know the information of what you have faith in before you get baptized.
Jesus was 30 years old before he ever got baptized.

Maybe he has come into your life so that you can decide whether or not to be baptized. You should read some of the gospels, especially the gospel of John as you make your decision. When you say there may be a future problem, are you referring to the scripture that says to be not unequally yoked together with non-believers? DO YOU believe in and accept the free gift of Jesus Christ? Do you believe He died to free you from the consequences of sin so you can live an abundant life? If you believe that, then please know that while baptism is very good and favorable in the eyes of God, it is a symbol and not required. Bless you as you make your decision and all the best with you and the awesome guy!

If you believe you can be baptized. What hinders you? I think immersion is a very meaningful ritual for believers, as well as an ordinance (i.e. it's commanded of all believers) and not to be overlooked. I've never known any who were sorry they'd done it. Not even the ones who got water up their nose. I still love the concept embodied in the traditional proclamation, "Buried with Him in baptism, raised to walk in the newness of life." We all want a fresh start, right? Wash off the dust of the old life and start anew.

If you have truly trusted and believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for your sins then the Holy Spirit baptized you into His Body and made you a member of the Church. 1 Corinthians 12: 13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. Ephesians 4: 4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; Ephesians 4: 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

I am excited to hear that you are digging deeper into something that you are unfamiliar with. I would suggest to not get baptized just for the heck of it, or just for him. You definately need to want it for yourself. Do you have a Bible? If not you should get one and start reading. You may not know where to begin, but God will show you. Hold the Bible in your hands and say, God, what would you like to show me today? Then just put your thumb in it and open. Start reading. Read a few verses (the little numbers), and if it doesn't sound like it is applying to you, try again. But really read it, don't just skim it. Here is my prayer for you:
Awesome Father, I pray that you fill this daughter of yours with more intrigue to learn about you. Continue to place your love upon her heart. It is a blessing that you have brought her this far and have put this man in her life. Continue to use him to answer questions that she may be having. Amen.

Under no circumstances should you be baptized! The christians don't want to admit it but that's not water they use, it's a poison that washes away your ability for free thought, rational thinking, and logic.

Avoid the Christpoison at all costs! It will make a liar and a lunatic of you just like it did the first Christ.

I don't think you should be baptized on the account of his religion.
You need to find what you believe in. You can't just be baptized and expect to be saved or be a Christian. It is a personal relationship with Jesus that saves you.
God bless you and I hope you find your way!

Doesn't sound like to me you want to get baptized. So that's your answer. Don't. He should respect your religious beliefs, and you should his. I don't think you'd be respecting either yours or his by you being baptized. You'd be doing it for all the wrong reasons.
