You wouldn't have a rice grain dficiency. You may have low amounts of carbohydrates in you blood. In that case you would be craving all carbs and simple sugars. Deficiencies are usually Vitamins or mineral. If you eat a well balanced meal, with the proper amounts of all 6 nutrients and proper amount of calories for your size you should be fine. As for uncontrolable intentions you may want to seek counsiling for food addictions. Good luck!!!!

You probably DO have some sort of deficiency. Rice contains plenty of thiamin, niacin, B-vitamins, and potassium. I would get a CBC (complete blood count) at the doctor and make sure you are in balance. If you suffer from certain behaviors such as bulimia or laxative abuse/overuse, or have been on any type of diet restriction that could make you lose or not maintain these nutrients that could be your problem. Also, certain metabolic disorders can cause deficiencies as well. Please get checked out, that would be the best thing to do. Good luck.

It has been said the body craves what it needs. Having a taste for a particular food could indicate a deficiency if the nutrient is known.
Rice has a few commonly nutrients such as iron, calcium, folic acid. Tell your doctor about your craving.

I'm assuming you are talking about "cooked" rice. I always thought it was actually good for your stomach, and digesting. Rice is good for you. Look at all the Orientals! I went through a stage of craving wheat products!

No .It is not a deficiency, but you won't get any energy. Rice only has a starch.

I guess my question would be, how long have you been eating rice? Maybe you're just used to eating it.
