I hope they are not in the mailbox..just kidding. I usually lose my keys on the counters or underneath the piles of stuff on my kitchen table. Backtrack to what is the first thing you do when you walk through your front door and to where you usually would have set them.

i want you to listen to me. very carefully. I have just stolen your keys and i am keeping them hostage. If you ever want to see them again, then seal $20,000 in an envelope and you'll have further instruction as what to do with the envelope when i call you tomorrow. If you don't due as your told, those keys will be crushed with my hammer. Get plenty of rest, this process might be exhausting.
