How did you check this? I also had my gallbladder removed years ago too. Your body shouldn't be producing any more bile now than it ever did in the past even before your surgery. The bile is used to break down food so that you are able to digest it. Your body will dump more bile if you are eating high fat foods. Now that you no longer have a gall bladder to justify the amount needed you'll need to stay away from fried foods like french fries and fried chicken etc. Go to WebMD.com to find out more. It's one of my favorite websites.

I had the same problem when I had mine removed. The best thing to do is cut out fried or greasy foods. Since I did that, I no longer have the problem.

yes, it could be what is called "irritable bowel syndrome" this is
what happens to me, especially if I go out to eat and the
restaurant and they use "cheap" cooking oil - I went to my Dr. & he told me not to go to Perkins cause that's the oil they use.

Not having a gallbladder someimes sucks, but it was full of stones so I had to have it out.

You just have to watch what your diet - it can be very uncomfortable & painful to say the least!

You should talk to your doctor about an acid reducer.
