Krishna is already in your heart as the Paramatma Vishnu expansion and is directing the wanderings of all living entities, who are situated within the bio-logical machine of the material body.
Krishna manifests internally as the supersoul and externally as the bona-fide spiritual master, the spiritual master must be in the parampara system of disciplic succession leading back 5,000 years to Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead himself.
To contact a bona-fide spiritual master, utilise this address:-Sriman Sankarshan Das Adhikari (sda@backtohome.com)
And always chant:-
Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna,
Krishna, Krishna,
Hare, Hare,
Hare Rama, Hare Rama,
Rama, Rama,
Hare, Hare.

Lord Krishna himself mentions how he can be invited in ones life..
This is recorded in Bhagavad Gita As It Is.. This has been presented as it is by Srila Prabhupada without any alteration.. So one aspiring for Lord Krishna should specially read Bhagavad Gita As It Is..
You can read it online at http://www.bhagavadgitaasitis.com/en
I do not know your location, but there are many Krishna Temples all over the world. Its not necessary for travelling to India ...
Infact I will advice you against Traveling to India at beginning Stage... you will be sorry to hear that Christians have already poisoned the hearts of Many Indians against Lord Krishna just for converting them ...And there are many many cheaters in the name of Lord Krishna .... Because of this most have taken up atheism.
Instead I will advice you to kindly contact any Hare Krishna center or International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) near your place.. You can later on visit India with ISKCON devotees and will be able to appreciate the Vedic Culture..
You can get details in www.krishna.com .
Krishna is not bound to any Place, or any region. Krishna consciousness can be practiced any where under the direction or association of other devotees of Krishna who are without any selfish motives. I request you to please start by Your Krishna consciousness by reading Bhagavad Gita and other books at http://www.krishna.com/main.php?id=33 and contacting the Hare Krishna devotees near your place ...
I will once again advice you against coming to India for Soul Search. Present situation of India is very bad.

there is no need 2 invite lord krishna. it already there in ur heart. infact even this feeling of "inviting lord krishna" is only due to this fact that lord krishna is within u. krishna is in ur soul.
If by the tongue you chant "Hare Krishna" mantra, and by the tongue you taste prasadam, you will be perfect, simply by executing these two things.
some of the verses of bhagwad gita are:
1.There is no friend equal to knowledge. There is no enemy equal to disease. There is no affection equal to that received from one's own child. And there is no strength superior to the will of God.
2.For one who constantly meditates upon My presence within all persons, the bad tendencies of rivalry, envy, and abusiveness, along with false ego, are very quickly destroyed.
3.One who worships the Supreme Lord and His holy name with undivided faith, knowing Them to be identical, is considered an elevated, first class devotee, even if he does not understand the intricacies of his own spiritual identity.
4.Even if you are considered to be the most sinful of all sinners, when you are situated in the boat of transcendental knowledge, you will be able to cross over the ocean of miseries.
5.I am seated in everyone’s heart, and from Me come remembrance, knowledge and forgetfulness.
