Do muslims take these quranic verses as literal truth, and how do muslim women feel about it?

a woman must always cover up and be subject to the will of her man (sura 24/31)

Do muslim women actually put up with this S H I T?

What is you problem? Why are you worried about Quranic verses and how we feel. I'm really proud of our Muslims women covering up. It's their body and it's private. It's not to display or entertain men. Get some knowledge from this Catholic lady.

If u actually looked at a bible u would c a passage very similar to
your 4th misquote stating that" a mans seed cannot grow unless it is "planted" in a womans field & tended with loving care.
Your 3rd misquote is very interesting,doing it on a "camel",that would be difficult to do "today" unless u live in the desert.

Ummm. first of all...I have no idea where you got all these translatations from. You have to understand that all translations have errors in them. And when translating something as deep as Quranic or Biblical verses, you cannot look at them literally, otherwise, you will lead a confused life. And I am a Muslim girl, I think life for us girls is not bad at all. We Muslim women have the choice of marrying who we want to, we can gain knowledge through education whenever we want to, we don't have to share our earnings with our husbands or provide for the family, women and men in Islam are equal. A husband and wife must work with each other to make life easier for each other. The husband must full fill favors for his wife, and the wife should full fill favors for her husband. WOMEN AND MEN ARE EQUAL IN ISLAM. Long ago in this country, when women were not allowed jobs or education to become doctors, women in Islam were allowed all of this.

As for covering up...I think it's a good way to eliminate some disctractions and to bring in some decency in this country. Covering up meaning...don't dress like a ****. By the way...in Islam, men must cover up too. Meaning they should aver their gazes when walking and shouldn't stare so much at women. Women now a days make it really hard for men to do this...and in a way...it is our fault for causing such distractions. That is why God said that both men and women should cover up.

Honey, I'm Mexican, born Catholic, but not I am Muslim and damn proud of it there is nothing wrong with covering up, I don't walk around with my boobs all hangin out and looking like a damn whore which promotes bad things in life, there are reasons to wear the hijab (scarf) and that is because of self-respect, respect for your husband and for God. And for the most part its the WOMANS CHOICE if she wants to or not. You look better in front of everyone, I for one when I get married with my fiance I'm going to wear the scarf because I feel safe more respected more comfortable. It doesnt matter what everyone thinks its for me, for God and for my husband.

And if a woman doesnt want to have sex with her man she doesnt have too, a man has to respect the woman, not treat her like an object, Get your facts straight from the Qu'an chick cause in Arabic its a whole other world sweetheart.

A woman who lives a good life and worships God and takes care of her husband family, but most of all lives a life of belief and TRUTH. Honesty towards God and her surroundings.

yes, sadly, they do and the worst adherents to the rules are the women who convert to Islam. I don't know why a woman would freely give up her rights to life and liberty. I assume they have been very well indoctrinated to only read the parts of the quran that don't show the subjugation of half the species.
