Accepting Your Assignment
For we are God's workmanship,
created in Christ Jesus to do
good works, which God prepared
in advance for us to do.
EPHESIAN 2:10 (NIV)
God wants to use you to make a difference in his world. He wants to work through you. What matters is not the duration of your life, but the donation of it. Not how long you live, but how you live.
If you're not involved in any service or ministry, what excuse have you been using? Abraham was old, Jacob was insecure, Leah was unattractive, Joseph was abused, Moses stuttered, Gideon was poor, Samson was codependent, Rahab was immoral, David had an affair and all kinds of family problems, Elijah was suicidal, Jeremiah was depresses, Jonah was reluctant, Naomi was a widow, John the Baptist was eccentric to say the least, Peter was impulsive and hot tempered, Martha worried a lot, the Samaritan woman had several failed marriages, Zacchacus was unpopular, Thomas had doubts, Paul had poor health, and Timothy was timid. That is quite a variety of misfits, but God used each of them in his service. He will use you, too, if you stop making excuses.
I'll be praying for you.......... God Bless

Searching for a new pastor can be a very scary time. Making sure you find the right person for the church body can be a very daunting task. I served on our church's Staff Parish committee for three years and had to replace an Associate Pastor as well as a Youth Director.
Sadly, our choice for the youth director did not work out as well as we had hoped. But God has a plan and we must have faith in him at all times! Especially the tough ones!
I will pray for you and your church that God leads you in the best path and that he gives you the strength to handle all that comes your way.
May God Bless and Keep You!

Maybe you are struggling because YOU are trying to decide. Let God guide you. Ask HIM to help you. Sometimes, the answer is right in front of you. I know that may sound so simple, but when trying to make a decision, a lot of people seem to think too much. Maybe if you checked out some colleges and different countries-one will just stand out more. That could be the sign.
I am sorry for your loss. Just take all your problems to God in prayer.
"Trust in the Lord with all your might, and rely not upon your own understanding, have faith in Him and he will make your paths smooth."

Of course I'll pray for you! I hope you can find the path God's made for you! I'm very sorry for the loss of your pastor, but I'm sure he was a good man of God and now he's in Heaven next to the Lord. God bless you! And good luck!

I found this in a book years ago. It was so inspiring that I copied it down, and I refer to it every time I feel a little lost...
You can not outguess God.
Hold to virtue--if you can identify it--and trust that the duty set before you is the duty desired of you. And that the talents given to you are the talents you should place in God's service.
Believe that God asks for nothing back that he has not first lent to you. Not even your life.

Missionary? Waaay too good! What you're doing is correct, wait. Trust me God will let you know, and your passion will grow.
As I'm writing, God knows that I and obviously him (which is more important) wants the best for you.
So do I going to pray for you? I'm already doing it!

Be blessed in all that you do, may God grant you the clarity and peace of mind to know how best to serve Him, all humanity and the earth.
When in doubt, always look within your heart, God will always speak to you there with truth and love. Never doubt that you are loved and guided by God.
