If she goes to bed at 8:30 and still can't get up in the morning, there is something more wrong than just a simple lack of energy. Try taking her to a doctor. She could be developing diabetes. She could have leukemia. She could have sleeping sickness. Find out if any of that needs to be addressed FIRST. I'd especially concentrate on her endocrine system.

carbs carbs and more carbs, but be sure she hits the gym or something as well so it doesn't become fat. caffeine is also good as long as it isn't loaded with whipped cream and sugar and the like.
