“Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.”

I suppose I am giving advice....to me this is a great piece of adice I have gotten...Over my life time and having a family member that was a minister for 10+ yrs. But to some people the Bible is a good book, I'm not saying it's not a good book, or that it is a good book...What I have learned is, If you do believe in a higher power other than yourself and other man/woman, you have to have peace within yourself to believe you can do good for yourself and others. Know what is important to you. Some people would say going to church is absolutely what you should do....But in my opinion, as long as two people gather to praise the higher power, God is my belief, we are heard in what we have to pray to him. Praying by yourself is also good, give thanks to him for each day, small things, the big things, don't pray for money or the like, that is not what God wants us to have, God wants us to believe we can do good, God is forgiving when we sin, and when we ask him for forgiveness. Try not to do what you feel was a sin again, we learn from our mistakes. God made us human with our will to believe in him or not...Some people I know don't believe in God and some people I know are hard core Bible tumpers....Who truly is to say what is the complete truth...find peace within yourself.....know that God will do for those that help themselves. With having so many people believing in different beliefs, we tend to say one is better than the other. I suppose some day we all will find out what the future is to hold. Regardless of your beliefs, we all sin...I am not perfect and have never claimed to be......

Dear Claypool:
The greatest thing I was told was, "always remember we are ONE. Each of your brothers is a Siamese Twin. We are ALL joined to each other - in our Reality - within the enfoldment of the Father. We share the One-Mind." For me, this was WOW !

This is a wonderful question. I bet answerers all over the world are going to answer it for you. The best advice anyone ever gave me was :
LOOK FORWARD and DON'T LOOK BACK.
It was during a period of devastating heartbreak, but I give it to
others going through all sorts of situations. It changed my life
and gave me courage to go on to a fabulous life.
Thanks, Mr. Chuck Annerino!
