You can usually tell the difference. It can vary from one man to the next. If he is flirting, than he will keep sending more signals until you get the point. If he is just being nice, than you can expect more of the same with no difference. Hard to moment without knowing more.

If you feel that tingling in your gut, when he looks at you, then he is flirting. Be careful though, some guys flirt just to have power over you and to see how they can mess with your head. Almost all guys are sexual, so he might take some if you offer, but at work I would stear clear of involvement like that.

flirting and being nice are the same thing. I am married and I flirt but I am only being nice. It makes me feel good about me. I don't want anyting from the man I just want to feel wanted and beautiful. THats all I want out of it. my husband says the same thing

All men want one thing! Sex! The only reason why most men are nice to women is to try to get in their pants or because they are getting in their pants and they aren't finished using them yet.
However just be careful they're not in a relationship with someone else, or even worse married. I guess if they do sweet little things for you and show you affection they're flirting.

Dont read too much into flirting, you could be wrong....wouldnt that be embarassing?! Not to mention uncomftorable since you work together. Wait for more directness. Some people are just flirty, doesnt mean they want you.

if you feel it's sexual, or if he's touching you while talking, then it's probably flirting. Just be careful with people at work, if you start to like him, consider meeting up with him after work, and keeping work a place to only do business.

flirting = teasing & doing stuff just to get your attention
nice = everything else
But neither of these means he wants to be more than a friend. Never assume anything.

I'm assuming that he's complimenting you, right? Usually if it sounds cheesey, rehearsed or too descriptive, its flirting.. if not, the guy is just being nice.
