Your color ideas sound quite pretty. You should go to Ikea after you've painted the room. I know they have a large 1/4 moon light that hangs on the wall. They also have star pillows. If You parents will allow it, you could paint clouds on the ceiling with a sea sponge. There are glow in the night stars available at most craft stores (ask, they will show you ) Ikea also has celestial postcard size prints you could frame. They also have cheap frames.May I suggest you use yellow as an accent color?

Ok. Here is my advice.
I would first talk to your parents about this plan. If they approve, they will be more than likely willing to help you.

Go out to a hardware store (Lowes, Menards, Home Depot) etc., or anywhere else paint is sold in your area. Pick colours you like, take them home, and try the samples on your wall and see what you think. Then pick the colours you want and get the paints made.

Here are some considerations:
- Who will be painting? Do You Want To?, Your Parents Want To? A Professional?
- Who will be funding the project? Will you pay? Or will your parents?
- Are you sure you want to do this? You paren't won't like you changing every 6 months.

The main thing you need to do is talk to your folks. They can help you more than anyone else here on Answers.

So I hope you can get your room painted. And go out and buy some nice candles and decorations. Don't get cheap candles. Get something nice from Yankee Candle, or Pier 1 or something.

Sincerly,
Nate

Target and Bed Bath and Beyond, will probably have accessories to do this. If you have something with the exact color you want for your walls, go to the Home Depot, they will match it perfectly. You just need to find stencils to get the moons and stars on the walls. Home Depot again may have that in the paint section, or an arts and crafts store like Michael's. Good luck!

Just start by drawing sketches, go to the paint store and browse colors, ask them how to get stars and moons on the wall
Take a trip to Yankee candle and buy candles that match the theme of the room

start by stripping the room bare - that will help your vision of it. Paint first and do it well, no shortcuts. Then bring the bed back in and get bedding that coordinates with your vision and the paint color and bring things in one at a time, put what doesn't work in the garage and keep what does work.

But definitely start with the paint in an empty room to get the overall feel of what you are going for without being encumbered by the old look interrupting your design process.

Ask mom or dad to take you to a Sherwin Williams paint store or your local Home Depot and there are consultants there that can help you out. Sounds pretty.
