How would this affect religion? Especially if one of the ANIMALS on this planet, were discovered to have a higher IQ than man - who was supposedly created in God's image? Although dolphins and porpoises have been used in this example, let's assume that the animal could be any genus or species.

How would religion deal with the fact that MAN has been DEMOTED in the scheme of things, and that one of the animals is actually smarter than man?

You just watched The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy, didn't you?

"So long, farewell, and thanks for all the fish!"

Human social structure would probably crumble if something like that ever happened.

It wouldn't, cuz they're not smarter than men. How exactly is that they measured a dolphin's IQ, as far as I know they can't talk or read or type or write or do anything but swim, do tricks and catch fish. How can you compare human intelligence to a dolphin?

Well, dolphins wouldn't have a higher IQ based on the current IQ test, which requires a working knowledge of language and mathematics to even read.

I guess it would change things, but so far, no animal has been proven to be smarter. They actually came out with new data that proved that porpoises aren't as smart as we thought they were and the extra large craniums were due to a fricking MAMMAL living under cold water. The brain needed to be that big to be able to cope with the conditions and protect itself from the dangers of its environment. So, in response to your query, yes, it would change things, but I don't see it happening with any animal, on earth.

i imagine even as it includes teachers, or shows women do a lot extra constructive. even with the undeniable fact that, maximum folk of fellows have a extra constructive understanding of ways machines artwork, and in certain situations extra constructive with operating with their fingers. obviously there are exceptions in both situations. it really is a shown undeniable truth that women have a protracted interest span and men are surely distracted lol.. yet men are extra constructive with fixing issues and arising with resolutions. women on the different hand are extra constructive with talking and expressing their concepts or reviews. you could also relate this to any guy-women courting, haha. both genders have their good and susceptible factors in any case wish this helps.

I think you overestimate our ability to quantify intelligence. Even just within humans, I'm sure you've noticed that some people are quite intelligent and yet not-so-bright.We ARE created in God's image. But we sure ain't AS SMART as God. There's a lot more to it than that.

They are smarter: are they not?

I don't see 'Dolphins': or for that matter come to think of it... any other fish/animal ... going round blowing the **** out of the other... just for the fun of it... do you?

Most likely, if dolphins were smarter, we'd eat more dolphin than we already do.

My dog seems to have much more common sense than some of my other family members.

I'm not sure how this fits in with your question but it's something that really needed to be said ;-)
