Hey, marriage is for a life time, not a tool to selfishly get something for the moment.
Have you ever watched the movie "Green Card?"

There are two other ways to get permanent residency aside from marriage. (1) a family member of yours sponsors your visa. (2) a company that wants to hire you sponsors your visa. I will assume that you don't have family here. If so, then you will need to find an employer who wants you so badly that they are willing to sponsor your stay and go through all the paperwork that needs to be filed. If you have a college degree and the job you will be taking requires a college degree then you can get an H1B visa, which is pretty simple to get. If not, then you are limited to an H2B visa which only allows you to stay in the US for less than one year and then you must return to your home country. Type in H1B or H2B into google and you should find enough information on them. Good luck.

Marriage is not as simple as it seems. It's a process that will take at least 2 and a half years. Before you get involved in something like that you should sit down with an immigration attorney and go over your particular situation. Not everyone is the same and he might be able to suggest other options.

marriage isnt the fastest way in to the country-should marry legally anyway. my husband and i have been married over 4 years with a 3 year old kid-still waiting for his papers to get approved to come here legally. when you are married doesnt mean you can stay here-you have to go back to your country and wait.

They check to see if it is a valid marriage. It just sounds as if you want to marry for citizenship.
