hahahaa. You know as well as I do why.
The Quran by itself can NOT float. With as little words as possible about God Jehovah in there own book, gives it the ONLY reason it still exists today. This is how POWERFUL God's Word is. Even the EVIL, can use God;s Word and float things along until the end.
You take the Words Of Jehovah God out of the Quran, they would sink before noon tomorrow. :)
Great Question.

Be careful you don't start all your books on fire. The verses of the Quran were written after the books Bible, so the arrangement of references makes sense. Your anger makes about the same amount of sense that Muslim contempt for the Bilble makes, which is not very much.
If you saw the word of God in both of these sources, you could go to heaven. As it is, all you are going to do is destroy the earth with hatred and the help of all the other hateful people who claim Christianity, Islam or Judaism as the only truth among the lies of the others.
Always looking for the mote in the other guy's eye. Wipe your own first.

Who very sad, and who simple minded, I am sure, if Muses, Jesus, and Mohammad could read your comments all of them would sink in tears and sadness, of Gods children cruelty and their hatred of each other since they preached the same thing, what did Muses preached ?don't hate ,and don't plant plants of hatred, what did Jesus preached : Love your next, and what Muhammad Sade: don't do anything to someone if you don't want to be don to yourself, and what we are doing ? lessening to some corrupt Politicians, and so called Religious leaders, and Hate each other.
the Truth is neither Bible and neither Goran were written on Jesus or Muhammad's life time . Bible is being written 200 years later and it is almost the same about Goran, but one thing is a fact. all three profits were preaching the same God. and so did 2400 before them, but I am asking God how much patient he has with his Selfish, and naive and stupid children's. How sometimes no mater if they have had axes to some books or not, are simply uneducated .
and don't forget:
burning books were something that Nazis did.
and did they succeed?
and Hate is something that all profits have preached against it .
and start to have understanding to each other that is the only way that you can push the politic aside and leave free, for your children's sake.

If something is well written and reaches the illusive centre of the subject. Why not use it, no matter what the source.
The words in either text are used to promote a certain feeling/understanding.
In studying the words (singular) you loose sight of that feeling/understanding.
Both texts are about worshipping God and how to lead a better, more rewarding life.
But, I feel, the recent (like for the past 10 centuries) troubles are because some are drawn to analyse the text word by word.
In doing so they loose sight of the reason the book was written.

The Qur'an has references to the bible in the same way that Jesus referred to the Old Testament scriptures. It is a way of inferring continuity over time. Why feel threatened? It is fear that powers your inquiry. Can you not overcome whatever it is that threatens you through the power of love? This is what Jesus preached and what I live by. We bring glory to our heavenly Father when we reach out in love to those whom we fear. And I think you will be surprised to find out that sometimes the very ones you were keeping at arm's length will reach back to you quite compassionately...and if not, you have been persecuted for love's sake (and if you are - you will not walk this path alone...this is exactly what happened to Jesus and He will be right beside you).
Peace and grace to you.

I work in a school in a very rough area which has children from different faiths, I tell the children that God is whoever they want him to be and the other beliefs are peoples different interpretations of God's word, I choose the word God because that is the word in the English language. I think that we need to teach acceptance not intolerance, my point is does it really matter if the word of one faith is interpreted into another faith if it is tolerant of it.

There is only one God !
He is the real God in all religions ... cause ... He can teach all the cultures of this Earth how to love and know truth about our brother/sisterhood ... He can tell us all in a way that each one of us can understand what we believe.
Love that idea above all else. There is only one God and if you kill others in his name you are not of God, no way, it's an insult to Him, you're NOT going to heaven .
Your cause may seem great ... especially for cavemen ... injustice has happened in Israel, but the Islamic fundamentalist's are some of the stupidest people who ever caused trouble on this planet .. God defend us from these violent fools.
And God bless the rest of us.
The Quran is an amazing book Muhammad was an amazing prophet , he accepted Christ ... the Son of the one God. Duh!
There is only one God, and the only one who can know Him really is you.
Yours, Jonnie
Ps , I'd burn it too.

The Bible is a collection of ancient scrolls and writings. For about a 100 years the political/religious powers argued about which scrolls and writings would be in the Bible. It went back and forth. So much of the Bible existed stand alone before the Bible came to be as it is know today.

If you begin researching Islam you will find that it is intricately tied to Christianity. Allah is the arabic word for God. They are supposedly the same God, with some different truths. Technically Islamic people are supposed and I stress supposed to live in harmony with christians and jews because they all stem from the same faith. But that is just what is in part of the quran. I guess they can pick and choose what they want to listen to as well as we can as christians.

i notice that the answers to your question are more castrating the other respondents rather than validating your query...
the prophet mohammed was once a listener to the disciples of christ (i meant those who continued christ messages and taught christianity). after having heard of these messages, mohammed tried to follow these examples by seeking reclusion in the desert. during this reclusion, he was given a message by a voice that told him to aide his fellowmen and spread the good news about his faith and thus, the birth of islam.
now, the prophet mohammed in turn, wrote the verses as taught by allah - his lord and divine provider. the messages and footnotes, references to the bible, was brought about because he actually heard it from earlier disciples of christianity and it coincided with the messages of allah, thereby the quran adapting some messages from the bible.
hope this would be enough. and enough of the argument about god and allah... as long as the beliefs of each faith learns that respect for each other must be observed and practice., this long term dispute may never be settled. it doesn't matter what one believes, so long as he respects the other... that is what a true man of faith should be.
