I say let the airport security do what ever they want to do. If they want me to take off my shoes and throw away my water then fine. By them doing that doesn't make me feel any more or less secure because I know that my life is in the hands of Christ, and he is my security not TSA.

If carrying my Nike's & Dasani water through security checkpoints means reducing or eliminating my chances of being aboard a plane that may be demolished by a liquid or shoe bomb... than hell that's a small price to pay!

Just curious... is this another one of those questions to confirm to the rest of the world how lazy & b*tchy Americans can be?

yea, I mean if it could stop a shoe bomber, or a person from making a bomb and blowing up a plane, then yes it does. I'd rather throw away my water and carry my shoes and be alive, than be wearing my shoes, and drinking my water and being dead.

I think you're looking at this the wrong way. It may seem ridiculous, but there are too many crazy people in this world to take any chances and they'll risk and use anything to get their point across. They don't care who they hurt, so the next time I have to take my shoes off and throw out my drink, I'll thank them for making sure I get to my destination in one piece.

No, what makes me feel uncomfortable that according to the news media the packages sitting in the cargo area may or may have not been inspected. all this crap about security onboard the plane and they aren't even thorough with the cargo. That is why I don't fly unless I really, really have to.

No, because I know they are useless security measures. Improving the intelligence community is the only real solution to combat real terror threats.
