Just run and have fun with it! If you don't win, so what, the fun part is signing up and seeing how many votes you get. You don't necessarily have to be popular or anything. Besides, popularity is just a name for people who think they are all that and a bag of chips! Who knows, you could be Homecoming Queen 2006! Good Luck! <3

It depends on the culture at your school. At some schools, it really is a popularity contest. At others, kids really vote for the people they think are the best.
What are the criteria for homecoming queen at your school? Do you meet them? Do you think you could convince your classmates to vote for you? Do you think you'd be OK with running and then NOT winning? Sometimes it's fun just to try.
Best wishes.

Being popular isn't always a good thing ya know. I mean you could be the most popular person and not be like, yet the most liked person and not be popular. You have a chance. People would rather vote for a peoples person who helped out and stuff rather than an uptight b*tch that cared about herself and what she looks like in the morning. GO FOR IT GIRL....

Every school is different. At my school - back in the dark ages - it was a straight popularity contest. Cheerleader, beautiful AND the ONLY asian girl in the school. (she actually was pretty nice, too)

in some schools the nominees are chosen by the teachers; check to see how your school runs their contest. Normally, however, the student body or individual classes do the nominations......

You should run. Who cares if others dont think you are pop. You should be running for yourself, not for others. I think you are a shoe in:)-af
