Houston, Tx. ? The Public Library there throws out literaly thousands of books, cds, tapes etc...... Alot of bigger cities you will find this going on. AAsk the local library what they do with discard.

If is money the problem, ask people for donations, as well some editorial might donate too or give you a special discount. Try with second-handed books too, but that are in good condition.
