if the wood is tender and it's suppose to be a toothless termite
it's a pun bartender is someone who serves drinks
and tender means soft easy to chew so he was asking if the bar was easy to chew on because he has no teeth ♥

The bar is made of wood and he is asking if the bar is tender enough to eat. Probably not a good joke because you have to explain it. I didn't get it at first either.

bar (skill wood) and delicate mean is it solid or delicate adequate to consume it. get it ? you recognize very almost like asking yet with a pun on words asserting is the bark delicate right here(reason termites elect to consume bark or wood). get it ?
