your smart for a 13 year old, never be afraid to ask questions and you will do well in life. I am sorry for your loss though.
To answer the question. People just believe what they want to believe. They dont want or need proof, they are just happier believing the way they do.

Um, may I just say that I think I just saw a 15 year old try to give advice to a 13 year old on the basis that he's 15. Something wrong here?
Getting back on topic, I lost my dad when I was 12. It was a tough time and I can't say that religion helped me through it. Family and friends do. Sometimes family and friends, and religion, can be part of each other. But I'm guessing that you have a problem with the whole god letting this happened thing. If you can't get comfort from your religion then I'm not sure how strong your faith was in the first place. Trying to justify your mom's death in god's great plan doesn't help the grieving process (which can last up to two years, btw, but after the first year, it gets easier). One day you may return back to your faith, but do what you need to do to heal.
I don't buy the whole "god works in mysterious ways" thing or "its part of god's plan" thing. It looks like you don't buy it either. I'm not telling you what to believe, you have to decide what you believe in and where your mom's soul is now.

Well, why not go and have a look at your eye. Consider the shape, the colour(s), the way you can roll them around and how many things you can see. now, think about all the intricate parts there are for all the functions that an eye goes through, sending messages to the brain, taking delight in a beautiful flower or butterfly and you tell me that a very special Creator, Yahweh God did not create all of it. How wonderful it will be in the day when all the righteous and the unrighteous will be called back to life from all the graves(earth and water). This will occur after Armageddon. The only ones going to Heaven are the ones that form the Kingdom of God--HIS Heavenly government that WILL govern the earth--headed by HIS son Jesus Christ and includes 144,000 Kings and priests bought from the earth -- Anointed by Yahweh God, Most High Sovereign King. You see, Heaven is God's realm and it is a Most Holy Place. The earth was created for people and all God's creatures to live on. The earth was created with Great Love and all God's creation is made from Perfect Love. Satan aka Resistor, the Devil rules this worldly system right now. Isn't it horrible? And Satan wants you to turn away from searching for God and the Truth--it makes Satan VERY pleased with himself, but he knows his time is short so that is why there is so much suffering and chaos right now---it's going to get worse--so, keep asking the hard questions and keep looking for God--He is not far off.--He Loves You
I am 58, granma of 5, mother of 3, have lots of health problems and have had all my life---lost my mother when I was 8--went to foster homes for 8 years with 1 brother and 2 sisters all split apart and barely saw my dad after that, so I do feel your grief, very deeply. Be strong, buck up, shoulder to the wheel and all that, you WILL make it.
The Bible aka The Holy Scriptures, is God's guidebook for life everlasting. He is the AUTHOR and authorized His Holy Prophets and Apostles to write the 66 books in the Bible for our instruction. The best ones to give proper instruction and guidance for a Bible study is Jehovah's Witnesses. They also are not far off--look in the phone book.

i think of that it would be somewhat obtrusive by using this factor that there is not any information of the non-existence of God that would desire to be sufficient to convince each and every believer that their god is fake. in keeping with risk if there became something like a clean invention that allowed human beings to be certain into the spirit international and communicate freely with the spirits of the ineffective human beings they knew. Then, if all of those spirits reported that there became no god there, that *might* be sufficient information from maximum folk. in spite of the shown fact that, even then, there might nonetheless be carry-outs that would desire to declare that the invention became a hoax or that each and every person the spirits have been basically demons pretending to be the spirits of the deceased.

Hi Casey
I'm sorry about your mom and dad. I know how it feels caus it happened to me when I was a kid too.
You need to understand that this was a choice that your mom and dad made, we can't blame God for these choices that people make. Death is hard, my mom died when I was young too. It stinks.
I'm realy old now and i'm not so sure about the bible either. Sometimes I think that religion is just a lie that people make up about God.
I agree that a lot of what religion tells us about God sounds like nonsense, but just because lies are told about something does not mean that It can't exist.
If I told you that at 3am earth worms turn into dragons that carry people of to a place called hell it would not preclude the possibility of the existence of worms.
It would just be proof that I am a liar, not that worms did not exist.
Think about it, and give God another chance.
Love and blessings

Well I don't want to get into deep in this subject alot of people have their own beliefs and views. I do not believe that the bible is real for that matter, becuase if you look through history: their has been alot of unfinished stories. Like I said: the bible is nothing but a big stroy book written by man and from many different men at that. I do believe though that there is some greater power out there, but I know for a fact that our future is already written for us, good or bad. God and the bible is only for those who seek guidence and that is only what it needs to be used for. To pray to God for a better future is utter nonsense. It is through peoples own well and actions that shape their own future not God. If there was a God out there he already knows whats gowing to happen to you. It is Gods so called words of the bible that people seek salvation, a path to follow, and to achieve something better in themselfs. I am truley sorry of what had happened in your life, but I hope as time goes by you start to realize what our true reality is and how the bible is intrupeted among other people. I too have lost alot of close family just recently my father, he was taken from me due to cancer. It hurt me in many more ways than one, but I had to be strong and take care of my mother and the rest of family. Everything that you know and do will greatly affect your future for example: if you get sick what do you do, you go see a docter, but if you don't then you might just die from not doing anything about it. There are things in this world that we as human beings can not control and death is one of them. Well I hope I helped you see a little bit about how things work. Take care man.

In my opinion the bible is a fake, pure fiction. All those prophets were probably schizoprehnic who saw things. The new testament has not been added to for 2006 years, the old testament even more. Anyone claiming to be a prophet in these modern times has been proved to be insane. To believe in God, just gaze into the stars and wonder at all living things. Something created all that. Be sceptical and study. Know what you know.

We don't know, that apparently is the whole point in faith. I am sorry about ur mom. I wont be one of these condescending ******* that tells u u are to young to make that kind of choice or it is out of pain, i was ur age when i decided i didn't believe in god, sometimes the most rational decisions we make come in the hardest times of our lives. There is no proof of god, stick with what u believe in, if that changes again at some point in your life then that's OK, if it does not that is OK too!

This is a tough question dear one.
God is true whether we believe in Him or not.
God is true whether we follow Him or not.
God is true no matter what circumstances are present in your life.
You have been made in the image of God.
God has imprinted you with eternity.
You can feel it.
You have always existed as far as you can tell (inside yourself).
The only thing that tells you that you had a beginning and will have an ending, is because you have been taught these things.
But deep inside of you, you cannot imagine not existing.
That is because God planned a place for you in His world before you were born.
God has also planned a place for you for all eternity.
God divided the time of the entire world by the life Jesus lived here on earth. 2006 years from Jesus Christ. Everything else is Before Christ (BC).
Ask those who dig for ancient cities, what document they look at to see where to dig.
Look at the sky at night and wonder if God exists.
He does and He loves you.
Believe and you will live with Him forever.
May you find God and find life.
You will overcome all difficult circumstances in the presence of your Creator.

I am sorry to hear about your Mother...that is sad. I believe that God is a God of Love - and doesn't want people to suffer.
Sadly we live in a world that has a lot of suffering, and sometimes people want to blame God for what is happening.
And it is easy to understand why you wouldnt' want to believe in God...tho' it is not God who is causing all the problems.
Here is a wonderful article that may answer some of your questions....
http://www.watchtower.org/library/w/2001/5/15/article_02.htm
I hope that maybe this might ease your mind a bit...
As far as the Bible - it is founded on historical data which has been proven by many historians and archealogical findings, which could take a long time to study - But many people have come to understand Who God is from carefully studying with Jehovah's Witnesses. They teach people the Bible all the time - and it is free. Jesus said to give freely - and that is what they do, of their time and energy, because they have come to love Jehovah God.
