With women becoming more liberated are women actually offended if a man offers to open the door, pull up a chair, get the luggage?

And men do we still actually offer to impart certain courteous actions with the intent of being gentlemen?

Chivalry is not dead it is just less common. I don't hesitate to open doors even if it puts me back in line further.

Depends on how secure a woman is in her femininity and a man in his masculinity. Common courtesy should be extended toward a person, not necessarily because of gender, but because you were raised to be polite and kind. Be Yourself, if that means "chivalry" then be CHIVALROUS, if it means your mom was a "independent, liberated" woman herself and so you were not raised as such as don't feel the need to perform it, then don't...and us woman, well, I, for one, think it's high time, we start just going with the flow, haven't the men been forced to do so with us all these years? I have no problems with either type of man but I due know that some men are just ill-mannered and chivalrous and some are kind yet unchivalrous...so treat a lady with respect, that is the bottom line, in my book.
