Yes! I do believe that a person can become addicted to any type of gambling. My husband is also hooked on Fantasy Football. It used to bother me but now I let him be because we came to the agreement that he would play just for fun and only lose the amount he set aside to play with.

I laugh at all the questions about how and when something or another becomes an addiction or obsession. As a mental health practitioner of 20+ years experience, with an emphasis on chemical and other addictions, I can tell you that you're looking in the wrong direction. IT doesn't become an addiction, no matter what IT is. WE become addicted, to anything we want to, with or without our conscious awareness. Our lack of self control gives control over us to whatever we allow, whether it be Yahoo Answers, beer, wine, cocaine, marijuana, sex, gambling, you-name-it!! It's our lack of self control, and our unwillingness to exercise same, or even exercise at all, which, of course, we can become addicted to, that gets us addicted to whatever. Ever heard the phrase, "We're creatures of habit."? An addiction IS a habit, a serious habit, that, for one reason or another, we may need to break, so, break it if you want. Otherwise, have fun with whatever you might be "addicted to". God Bless you.

Why are you asking this question when Travis Henry has been named the starter in Tenessee and Brett Favre is being considered a #1 QB? You should be adjusting your draft board! For god's sake, think of Terrell Owens! :)

In all seriousness, the days right before a fantasy draft are a nightmare- kind of like cramming for exams. But once draft day rolls around and teams are picked, things settle down back to a degree of normalcy. I wouldn't summon the nice young men in white coats yet....
