I'm 17 so this is a real answer from a teen, when me and my boyfriend started dating (two years ago) there were ALWAYS awkward pauses. the way we got passed them is by asking questions about each other and we would find weird things in common with each other. and if that doesn't work my boyfriend and i did this thing, when there would be an awkward pause we would turn to each other and say pick a topic. don't let awkward pause go by without saying anything at least make a joke out of them when they happen.

Talk to her about your friends and school. Something that annoyed you during the day that was funny or pissed you off! Anything really. Ask her questions too, that way she can do most of the talking - like how did your day go...etc.

Man... Look at the clothes she wear... like anything that she wears? ask her about it like where she got it and all and slowly talk about fashion, herself and usually ask her what are her hobbies and all. Find out what she likes and ask her a lot of questions cause girls love to talk and they would want someone who loves to listen

I suggest you write down the thing you want to say to a girl like make a list but don t keep asking a lot of question. for example {say to you like to go to the movies. she say yes i would had say i like to go to the movies and tell her what movies you like}. Ask question and make a comment to your question you ask. Theirs a lot of topic you could think about and tell her how pretty she look that we should go out. Try to make her laugh girls like people make them laugh think of a joke and tell her.
