and i like his good friend. once before he told me if i tell him who i like he will tell mewho he likes.so i did and he said that he didn't like any one and he told his friend that i liked him. this time he said he wouldn't tell anyone. should i trust him and tell him?

there are many sayings out there... some dumb... some corny... and some very descriptive.
the saying you might want to listen to is "fool me once, shame on you. fool me twice, shame on me"... or you could go the Amy Wong (watch futurama if you don't know who that is) way and go with "fool me once, shame on you. fool me 23 times, shame on me."
listen, he betrayed you once already. what makes you think he's not going to do it again? that he said he wasn't going to? another saying that has relevance is "actions speak louder than words". his actions show that he is not to be trusted. so don't tell him. if he is that curious about it... tough luck for him. he'll learn to live with the disappointment.
keep who you like to yourself until you scrounge up the courage to let the guy know yourself... or until you can get love potion #9 and guarantee that he'll like you :P

I probably wouldn't tell him. There's a chance he likes you and is trying to see if you like him too, but in that case he should just take the risk and tell you how he feels.

He was asking who you like because he likes you and wanted to know if you feel the same. It's a juvenile game...when you are both older you'll be able to tell eachother that you like eachother without all the silly-ness.
