That is a mandated project for second graders. Get a poster or paper and go through old photos if you have any. If not have your child draw pictures.
When I was a baby I ...................
When I was one I ........................
When I was in kindergarten.............
etc.
If you have important events like when your eight year old walked for first time, lost a tooth, went on an exciting vacation, etc. include that in the year it happened.
It's an easy and fun project for parents and kids

Ok. Well, jot down all the things you can remember that have happened in the past 8 years. More than likely you would remember important things that have happened.

Like moving, going to the zoo or circus...welcoming another baby to the family...learning how to swim or ski or ride a bike...that sort of thing is probably what I would do.

You could always ask her what your 8yr old remembers from the past. You'd be amazed at how much they remember at that age. Then from his/her details you could figure out how old he/she was at the time. And add it to the apropriate spot on the timeline.

Hope that kinda helps!!

Good Luck!

So have her get 8 sheets of paper and tape them together. Each paper represents one year. Get photos and add them to each year and have her write a bit about each age.
