Yes it is hard. I was that way a year ago with my daughter. You should be proud that your child is growing up to be a strong and healthy child. They need that socialization with children their ages. Just wait to see all of the things your child will accomplish this year! You will be a proud papa!

It is quite normal to be bummed. It is the first sign that they are growing up and stepping out into the world.Even tho it is only kindergarten,in way it is giving them a little independence. It is school, there is discipline but you are showing him that he can make it on his own.Reguardless,of his age he will always need you there to give advice and such.Dont be bummed out,see it as you have done your job as a parent, and a good job at that.Congratulations.
My neice started kindergarten this year. She was excited up until the day.She then decided to cry and throw a temper tantrum.Well,my sister continued to take her to school each morning and pick her up each evening after school.Yesterday, the principal whom i dont care much for but that isnt my decision.Anyway,Yesterday my sister was taking my neice to school and she was walking her to the door.My neice walked inside and my sister proceeded to turn and walk towards the car.Well,my neice started crying and a natural reaction from my sister she turned around to make sure she was ok and the principal who i thought was way out of line says "You are only making this worse" and told my sister to leave.
Anyway, sorry just fell into the catagory with your question. Not everyone has bad experiences with the staff at the school or with their children going to school you will grow accustomed to it.Congratulations to your little boy!

Yes of course its your baby . Ithink most mothers feel this way at first i know i did but i was just being a bit selfish . Just think you have a bit of time to yourself and you get used to it because the children love to meet and play with other kids so i think if they are happy the mother should be happy for them.

I remember taking my children to their first day of school...many years ago...before taking them ..I explain to them how exciting it is to meet new friends and learned something new every day...it's tough being a parent..but in the long run the only thing you have left is memories...so take some photos..and cherish every moment..the years passed by fast...

I understand because my daugther starts school on Sept. 5th and I am feeling the same way that you are. I want her to goto school however, I want her to stay with me... I am a little scared...
But I am sure that she will be fine, just like your son will. Don't worry he will love it....
