I am very very obsessed with a band and I think it may be getting unhealthy. I like them far more than anyone I know and I am even starting to get upset that I can't meet them. I think it may be getting out of hand sorta. I just can't stop listening to their music.

I am very very obsessed with a Panic! at the disco, and I don't even know why. I can't even help it. I can't just stop listening to their music. But it's not like I'm gonna stalk them or anything. I'm only 15. I can't even drive yet.

Yes, it is possible. If it concerns you please set limits for yourself. Allow yourself to listen for a limited amount of time. Allow yourself to listen only after you have done something with family or friends.
Limit the amount you spend on songs and magazines about the band.
I am sure you have heard of people who stalk celebrities. Being obsessed is real. KNOWING you are obsessed and wanting to change that behavior is a healthy step in the right direction.
Good luck.

yes it can get a bit unhealthy. Usually the cut off point is if you are so obsessed over the band that you can't do your daily activities like school work, or hanging out with friends or family. It is great that you have a strong preference in music and would like to meetyour favorite band someday. But please dont let it keep you from living your life. These "obsessions" will fade with time and when that day comes you don't want to be left behind with a life that isn't real. Hope this helps.

i know where you're coming from.when i was 13,i discovered this AWESOME,AWESOME rock band, and i totally fell in love.they became my whole life.the bass player, especially, became my number one obsession.i did live in a fantasy world for a while.i felt like me and this band had a special connection, and i lived like i would someday marry the bass player.the thing is,i knew this wasn't true.i just acted like this,to get through the stresses of adolescence.what helped me to stay in reality, was to read up on them.i would read about their personal lives, especially,to make sure i would never start to believe, that there was something between us.knowing that, they have a life that doesn't include you,and they're just a fantasy, not reality,[in your immediate world]will help you from becoming too obsessive.also,if you find other interests, and spend more time with your friends, you won't focus too much on this band.having an obsession with celebrities,is normal when you're growing up.just know that, this really is a phase that you're going through.and, eventually, you'll outgrow it,and move onto something else.the important thing is,to understand the line between fantasy and reality.give yourself a reality check,if you start to become too obsessive.remind yourself, that they have a life separate from you.and you have a life of your own, that they're not a part of,either.i hope this helps some.

There is nothing wrong with liking someone, or a group of people a great deal. If their music makes you happy, then listen to their music all you want. Just remember that bands like fans, they just don't like to meet them. Most band members are introverted people that use their music to escape from their fears and emotions. Playing in front of people is great, but meeting people one-on-one terrifies them. So don't be stalking and pushy. Just enjoy their music.

Obviously they speak to you. I've gotten real heavy into certain bands of the past, and then in time the obsession passed. Enjoy their music more by delving into the meanings behind each song; it will help you to know and understand yourself better. You should write them a fan letter and let them know how much their music affects you, they'd be pleased to hear it.

yeah, as an observer, I can see where this is a problem. Right now you have no intentions of stalking them and I'm postive you don't. But who knows what it could lead to?
You need to think about what you are doing, try listening to some other type of music. Try Gospel. It won't harm you.

we've an abundance of tips, what we lack is a vestige of motivation? awareness is pronounced as potential, yet inert potential is pointless except it is positioned to artwork, except it is used legitimately for advantageous progression and the catalysts are commonly used help and participation. help and participation have been extreme jacked by utilising successive Governments, by utilising the tutorial device, no longer by utilising depriving human beings of training, fairly the opposite, by utilising making training reachable to all, yet in beside the point subjects as a diversionary tactic far off from psychological enlightenment. This technique is popularly noted as "Dumbing Down". Our training device produces illiterate, innumerate, incoherent , quite qualified variety electorate, bereft of any desire to seek for the certainty because of the fact the only desire we ought to consistently build a international of justice and integrity possibly the media have lost the capacity to deceive, yet while in certainty valueless, does it count. in the journey that your guy or woman very own values are as hollow because of the fact the headlines, what's each and all the fuss approximately? The Politicians would have lost their capacity to rally help, by utilising universally demonstrating their genuine hues as congenital liars, yet so what, they are supported with the comparable apathy that they are denounced? although our opinion may be with regard to the usual public Sector strike this week, a minimum of they are doing something seen, tangible and collective to further their reason.Lincoln pronounced "each and everything is composed of people who wait, yet purely the flaws left by utilising people who problem" i think finally the usual public Sector workers will privately get their very very own way, mutually as something of the rustic, sit down waiting for his or her turn, unaware of their involuntary investment of the usual public workers demands. If the cat gets out of the bag and the completed scandalous episode is uncovered, they are going to nevertheless be sat their waiting their turn, protecting their unstoppable capacity properly hidden away.

depends on the band... I mean if you're talking about AFI or something like that then yeah, it's going to be a problem for you. If you're talking about Staind or someone that's going to be around for a while then you should be livin on easy street.
