Both. Sometimes I just buy the dough and add the ingedients myself. Favourite ingredients may include: ham, bacon, mushrooms, olives.

I always make my own pizza from scratch when I'm at home. I don't see the point in eating pizza if you're going to eat take out garbage or short cut junk.

Making pizza dough takes all of about 10-15 minutes (not counting waiting for the dough to rise) if you have a decent mixer with a dough hook. Why not do it right?

The only time I buy pizza is when I'm in Italy.

Every Friday night... still haven't found a place that can do it to my liking. I make fresh dough in my bread machine. I use Pillsbury's "Best for Bread" flour. I've tried others and this seems to rise the best. I go light on the sauce, at least two cups of cheese on a 10" pizza. If I'm doing pepperoni, then a solid layer after the sauce, then cheese, melt the cheese in the oven, then another layer of pepperoni and finish baking. I've also been known to experiment with different cheeses. My son likes a Mex blend of cheddar and jack.

We do both. Here's a couple of fun & tasty pizza recipes for you to try:

POURED-CRUST PIZZA
(I love this recipe! It’s so easy, & tastes great, too! )

1 c. pizza sauce or 1 c. tomatosauce, add 2 tsp. Italian Seasoning, or use 1/2 jar of spaghetti sauce
1 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
2/3 c. milk or water
1 tsp. Italian seasoning or oregano
1/8 tsp. pepper

Grease well a large pizza pan, 9x13” pan, or two 8” pans. Mix together all ingredients (EXCEPT the sauce), & pour into chosen pan(s). Tilt pan(s) around until completely covered with batter. Carefully spread the sauce onto the batter, then add desired toppings (see below). Bake at 400º, for about 10 to 15 minutes, or until crust is browned.

Topping / Filling:
1/2 lb. ground chuck
1/4 c. onion, chopped
12-oz. cheese, shredded
green bell pepper, chopped
sliced canned mushrooms, drained

Other Suggested Toppings:
Cooked meat (crumbled ground chuck or sausage, pepperoni slices, chicken etc.)

PIZZA WRAPS
This recipe is a fast, fun twist on pizza. They taste great reheated, so make as many as you can fit on a cookie sheet & refrigerate the leftovers. Freezes well, too.

spaghetti or pizza sauceshredded cheese
cooked meat, your choicemushrooms, fresh or canned
tortillas

Spoon sauce onto a tortilla. Add cheese and toppings. Fold like a burrito. Place on cookie sheet. Repeat steps to make as many wraps as you'd like. Sprinkle cheese on top. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 10-15 minutes or until hot inside.

I have made pizza from scratch, recipe was in a cookbook, where I made the dough for the crust and then put on the ingredients on top or I have found a pizza you can make from a box that has all the ingredients in it.

Why spend the time to prepare a home made pizza when you can order one?

If you really want to feel that you made the pizza yourself, purchase one from Papa Murphy's and take it home and bake it!!
