The only thing wrong with Canada is that it gets so friggen cold up there... The Guess Who came from there, that in its'self is enough for me to love the place. We all know what kind of whiskey they brew in the great white north, ( probably why they don't mind winter so much ) Why ask a question like this ??? Both places rule, in their own way... Wish poor people who live here could get free health coverage, it sure would be nice.

i'm actually from canada and i moved to the US, so i can LEGITIMATELY answer this question, since i have lived in both places.
they both have their ups and downs.
in canada, i've noticed that everyone is a lot friendlier, however, taxes prettymuch bite.
in the US, everyone just seems to be more uptight, but when something goes wrong, EVERYONE is there to help. it's kinda like a HUGE extended family...if that makes any sense...
basically, there are a LOT more reasons, but i'm too lazy to actually type them all out.
i live in the US now. it's my home. and, even though i love canada, i'm american, and proud of it. the US IS the best country.

You are only mentioning two so it should've been in the comparative degree, "which is the better country." Well, only few people know that the US has huge debts in the World Bank. Canada seems better. Besides, look at the citizens and contrast them. I don't wanna sound prejudicial but wake up!!!

In response to Canada's so called free healthcare...lots of people go out of country to get medical care because the wait is too long.
Lots of people die from that too.
I prefer the US to live in, but am sick of the wars and general intolerance of others beliefs, religions, viewpoints etc.

Quite frankly - I don't know. The USA is better in some ways such as finance and employment while Canada is better in health and safety. There are less violent crimes in Canada.

I am an American, but most Canadians I've met/seen are really cool. And all the funniest comedians are from Canada

OH,PUH-LEEZE! I love my Canadian Bros.,but in Cal. I can go surf in April, jump in my jeep and go snow skiing the same day, drive down the back of the Mtns, and ride my dirtbike out in the Desert all in the same day.
Until you get a Disneyland,KnottsBerry Farm,Raging waters,and Magic Mountain...forget about it.(Besides Y'all need a tan!)
