Why is it that a lesbian/gay can find the opposite sex sexy?

I was just wondering, Why is it that a gay/lesbian would find a straight person appealing? I'm a Lesbain And don't think of guy's when it comes to sex, like some of my gay/lesbian friends do.. But when I see A guy walking his child or dog, or holding his girlfriends hand ect( life style, So say} I feel happy for him/them , but at the same time I'm wishing my girlfriend was there too becuase I get sexualy arroused... But tottaly turned off by guys... Just wondering what people would say.. (Thanks}

Probably the same reason that most straight people sometimes have gay thoughts or experiences.

Deep down in my heart, I know I'm a lesbian. I've always had the emotional, sexual, and connective attatchment for women. I find women all the above to be honest. Women are easy for me to become attracted and want to be with them. It's natural for me. When it comes to men, I think they are attractive, but I've never had that same emotional, sexual, connective attatchment I get with women. Men don't do it that way for me. However, I do date men just because it's considered to be the "accepted" way. I do kiss men and cuddle even though I don't have those feelings. I tell the men honestly my feelings and they understand. As I said, I want a woman, but I'm supressing my feelings because I'm trying to be living by God's word. I don't know what is right or wrong and I don't condem anyone for choosing to go along with thier feelings. Sometimes I don't think it's fair. Sometimes I wish to give in and be with a woman. I guess I'll give it time and figure out my own personal happiness with a woman...First, I have to figure out my future of where I see myself. Sexuality is a complicated issue...
