Mini pinscher are very intelligent but dominating dogs. They are quite head strong, so it takes firm handling and training, but once trained they live up to their reputation as 'KING OF TOYS", they are fun playful cuddly little dogs, very brave and very curious. If you get a proper trained one, you'll never want another breed.
People who had to give up their dogs are people who didn't train them properly. Because of the min pin's diminutive size some people neglect to properly show the dog who's the boss, they end up spoiled and disobedient, but its not the dog's fault.

i used to raise dobermans but i wanted a small dog this time so i got a min pin female, she is red and was 6 mos old when i got her, she is the cutest, smartest little dog, we just adore her
even my husband and grown son enjoy her, she recognizes many words and she can convey her wishes to us, she was pretty easy to housetrain, she does not like strangers and will bark herself hoarse, and i can't make her stop barking! she loves to travel and rides well in car, shes not a picky eater like other small dogs i've had, she has her own toy box and will select the toy that she wants to play with now for the downside, they are VERY determined and HARDHEADED dogs, they are just too clever for their own good, they will keep you on your toes, they are able to figure things out, they are a thinking dog, very clever
they are not good with small children, they are just too high strung for kids

I had 1 about 6 months ago, had her about 2yrs, and she was the craziest. She thought she was the size of a great dane and could take on the world, we didn't own her, she owned us, and was very protective. Very picky though, only the best foods, bedding, and clothes would suit her, if she didn't like it, she chewed it to shreds!!!! (usually on top of my bed so I'd be sure not to miss it!)

My dad had one and she was trouble with a capitol T... of course he lived in an apartment but she was hyper and got into everything. He had a bag of nails on the dining room table and forgot to put them away, left for work and came home they where strung all throughout the apartment. She became to much to handle and they gave her away.

Hyperactive and a biter - not good with children. Is a good watch dog though. Even though they're small - the bite bites...
