I dont care what anyone else says, if you want the STRONGEST (not largest) biceps, do pullups with your hands facing towards you. When you have done so many reps that your arms feel like they are going to die, THEN use dumbels and curl until your arms fall off.....
Do this once or twice a week no more. Rule of thumb, if your muscles (any muscles, not just biceps) are sore AT ALL, it is too early to work out again.

For the pullups, you can use a pullup bar, a swing set, or any strong ledge that you can get a grip on.
This website shows you how to do a proper pull-up, look for the supinated (underhand grip), not the overhand.

Fill 2 milk cartons with water; freeze them if you'd like, and you'll have a weight of 8-10 lbs each for doing bicep curls. Push ups, either floor or wall, work well too. Anything that requires repetitive lifting while gradually increasing weight to avoid injury are also effective.
