Well that is a hard one. But if he likes the simple things in live it may mean, he likes to walk or hiking, bike ride, not do complicated thing or extremely hard things. He like just meat and potatoes, he really doesn't like to go anywhere, no complications in relationships, as he doesn't want to make decisions. Just keep life simple and undemanding. Carefree, and is a bit lazy. Does that help you understand simple things.

Oh yes, doesn't like to spend a lot of money on you for gifts but loves to lay around watching TV too... maybe love time in bed. Simple things.

If you want to know for sure, better ask him to define what he means by Simple things.

I would say it depends from the education, the character, the experience of life of the person saying this as well as from the context and situation in which the person is pretending such. The best way to find out is to ask the person what she means by 'simple things' and what he thinks, was the opposite of 'simple'.

Well, I suppose he just likes the simple things! My girlfriend says she's "easy to please", which I think she means as "I don't mind what we do, anything makes me happy". Your boyfriend sounds as though he just appreciates things and doesn't worry about stuff unneccesarily. A good attitude to have, I'd say - and I'm pretty sure it doesn't mean he's a cheapskate.

When I've made that comment it means I'm not really into whatever scene/activity the other person is into. A polite cop out.

He likes things that he can do by himself. He hates groups and things where you have to follow(woman) rules. He is not easy to please, as being simple is quite hard. He is not in a hurry to do things and sees short cuts as cheating.

all of the above that you've mentioned. and may i add... satisfied in life. but... a dreamer is always a better one to be with. they always think ways they can make money and keeps on going even though they've achieved success.

i would have to agree with deckard too.
