Do you mean only fully man and not also fully God? Well, there is indeed a vulnerability in moving away from what you have accepted as factual, based on what you were taught. It is scary to think that there might be a slippery slope...that if THAT weren't true, then what else may not be true.

_THANKFULLY_ one's heart is already grounded in what is true if it is searched out. And searching need only happen in tiny steps as one can manage. Its a leap of faith that takes courage but love will hold you (us) up. As a Christian who believes Jesus was qualitatively unique among men (or women), I will follow Him no matter what. To me He is the tangible form of Love itself.

I don't usually waste time on things that aren't real. There's no way that Jesus could be 'just a man.' But....

If that could be a possibility, I don't think it would scare me. Perhaps disappoint, but it wouldn't be reason to believe that God didn't exist, and it certainly wouldn't mean that what he said wasn't true.

However, God did claim Jesus as his own Son. In Jesus' life there are too many things that point to him being someone more than just human to take too seriously the possibility of anything less.

because then He would be just another zombie running around waiting to be whacked by some chick with a shotgun, in the mall.

snicker...snicker...snicker

nobody can doubt that Jesus was a man. i mean, even the muslim admit that he lived and was a prophet of God.

what sets Him apart from being just another man, is the fact that He did work miracles; He did fullfill ALL of the prophecies in the old testament; He did rise from the dead, etc.

even the jews and islamist agree with the christians that Christ will deliver God's chosen at the end of times. as a christian, i just believe that he was here, in the human form of Jesus, once already.

The thought hasn't even ever crossed my mind. But if I did, obviously I would be disappointed. But, noone can prove that Jesus was JUST a man......The world will see.....We might just be in the end times.

Then it would be useless to believe in Christianity and Jesus's holiness and divinity. Besides it's what Christianity revolves around.
