I have been with the first real love of my life for 7 and a half years since end of high school. We have lived together for the last three years then bought a house together a month ago. Less than a week of being in there she left me with little if any warning. She says she doesnt feel like she has lived yet and needs to "find herself" and she cant be happy in the relationship if shes not happy with herself. I know she wants to do an overseas trip which i didnt support at the time cos of the house thing but i only want to see her achieve everything out of life now and i will support her and she knows this now. She cant commit to our future but tells me she loves me, miss me and cant think of anyone else she would rather spend her life with. I have sought help to improve myself as a person and she is very impressed with all that. I recently broke off the friends part to give her the space she asked for. I love her and miss her so much. What do I do now and does it seem over between us?

Its a fifty-fifty chance. I think you need to ask yourself if you want to be with someone who's prone to needs of actually leaving to find themselves? Personally, I would say move on because it sounds like you are being toyed with until she finds someone better. You deserve better than that, dontcha think?

Just give her some time and space like she asked for. When she gets back from her trip wait a week and if she doesn't call you by then. Then you call her. If you've been with someone that long then theres definetly feelings there. I mean you bought a house together. But kinda like a guys mid-life crisis shes looking around thinking WOW i haven't did anything really but be in a relationship. Shes realizing now that she did miss out on some things just like you did. So while shes gone taking her trip go out and do some things yourself. Do something she'd never do with you and you've never did cause you dont want her to feel left out. But if you ask me you are definetly not over. Its just a temporary break.

You've done the right thing. Let her go. Now you need to move on with your life. If you guys are meant to be then only time will tell.
