Or discredited for that matter. Recently, more and more scientists have been coming up with the conclusion of a divine creator. Evidence just doesn't support evolution at all. And recent studies show that the universe is a whole lot younger than predicted. I'm not here to start an argument or a debate. My question is what do you guys think of evolution supposedly being no longer a valid theory? If you guys think I'm making this up I'm not. Go read about it somewhere. I don't want people posting trash and stuff about this question but I guess it's inevitable. So please try to keep it at a minimum if possible.

sorry I didn't get this from the internet. It was from a book.
"The case for faith" by Lee Strobel.
It only summarizes it so you have to go much more in depth. Evolution doesn't have any valid evidence to support it. I'm not saying that you should all believe in God but I'm saying that evolution is being more and more discredited. I'm not here to start a debate so don't even bother.

If you are providing scientific evidence, sholdn't you be posting it in a different category? Obviously the religion and philosophy trolls are going to agree with you.

Next time, try proving your points without rhetoric and outright untruths. If you have a legitimate scientist (or a list of them) who truly believe this, then post their names, and the place in which they state their opinions as such.

if you are doing a study and you are looking for some paticular thing you will eventualy find it or something that you believe to be it.

christian scientists do studies to disprove evolution. sure they will find things that do not make sense....we are only 98% exact duplicates of apes....well freakign DUH. we walk upright and are not covered in hair...(most of us anyway) 2% can be a big change when you are talking genetics.

if you look hard enough you will find what you are looking for.

thing is the scientists that see evolution on day to day life and in liveing things today. are usually looking for something completly differant. most great scientific discoveries are found when they are not even looking for these things.

why is it so hard for people to see that either evolution or more than ine creation story must be true.

if adam and eve were the mother and father of us all then we would be one f***ed up bunch of people. the human reproductive system needs to have differant genes in it for reproduction to work correctly. if you breed brothers and sisters for 100 years their blood will be so thin that they will not be able to live...look at all of the problems that plagued european royalty because of the ammount of inbreeding that they did.. 5 or 6 families could not support a viable gene pool what makes you think that 2 people could.

so here is the deal, i believe that your god put adam and eve here.

i believe that my gods put my ancestors here,

i believe that the gods all over the world created humanity in their image.

and at the same time somewhere in africa a monkey figured out that a nutshell could be crakced between 2 stones and the tool was invented and from there they evolved.

why is it so hard to accept the beliefs of everyone as a possible answer. when the bible says the world it really is talking about a very small part of the world. in that time the world was only as big as the nearest body of water that could not be walked around or sailed acrost within a few days.

why does the bible not mention the americas or antartica. because the world was a very small place to the MEN who wrote it. it may be gods word but it was put on paper by MAN. and men make misteaks.

For one, where are your references, links, websites that state what you are saying? Without that, how can we believe what you are saying is true?

I for one look at the news on a daily basis, and I have yet to see a single mention of Evolution being discredited at all. So please, state where you got your information from so that we too can read it and find out if what you say is true. Give us some links.

Doing a quick search I found the following link. But that isn't really discrediting Evolution. "the theory has been discredited in its absolute form, although recognized as being partly accurate" So it is still true in a way.

There is absolutely nothing that known in science that discredits evolution. Nothing.

However, evolution discredits a literal reading of the book of Genesis.

Many Jews and Christians have found it acceptable to compromise by taking the book of Genesis less literally and more metaphorically. I suggest you do the same.

Rubbish. Please remember that not everything you read on the net is true. People can write complete tripe and people like you will believe it.

Evolution does not preclude the idea of a divine creator, as even evolution doesn't explain the mystery of how life began. The only people who want to discredit evolution are those who believe the Old Testament is literally true, and anyone who believes that is very good at self-denial.

it particularly is a actuality that allele frequencies replace over the years, definite hint- it somewhat is the definiton of evolution (a minimum of in a organic and organic experience) "yet i individually have not got self belief evolution explains each and every thing." no single thought is meant to... evolution basically clarify how organisms replace over the years. it doens't say something approximately how organisms first got here approximately, how the universe did, or the rest that no longer "why is this organism this way" "i think of evolution is a thought it somewhat is supported by using observable empirical information, yet no longer all the thought could be accounted for. in spite of the shown fact that using fact evolution is scientifically based, does that recommend it particularly is a real actuality?" no it potential it particularly is a scientifically supported thought, the reality that it does not run counter to any regularly happening fact, has made precise predictions, and has no longer been falsified potential it somewhat is maximum possibly actual. no technological know-how can ever be one hundred% certainly actual beause we basically can't be everywhere at as quickly as to be certain the full universe is the comparable way... "This guy began to tell me that evolution is a actuality completely and all atheists have self belief in it." nope, many atheists are basically as ignorant (or obdurate or "against the grain" in spite of their motives) as many creationists... what you may look at is how many BIOLOGISTS settle for it... once you're attempting to be certain the score to the yankees game might you ask a pink sox fan? once you're attempting to be certain approximately technological know-how might you ask a guy or woman who does not a minimum of learn technological know-how?

2. Isn't evolution just a theory that remains unproven?

In science, a theory is a rigorously tested statement of general principles that explains observable and recorded aspects of the world. A scientific theory therefore describes a higher level of understanding that ties "facts" together. A scientific theory stands until proven wrong -- it is never proven correct. The Darwinian theory of evolution has withstood the test of time and thousands of scientific experiments; nothing has disproved it since Darwin first proposed it more than 150 years ago. Indeed, many scientific advances, in a range of scientific disciplines including physics, geology, chemistry, and molecular biology, have supported, refined, and expanded evolutionary theory far beyond anything Darwin could have imagined.

Fantastic question. Loved the complete inability to provide any evidence to back up the argument which is generally debunked everywhere.

Did you also know that Mars is made of Marmalade. Some guy in front of me at the news stand told me so it must be true.

I'm not going to honor your original question with an answer, but regarding the age of the universe, scientists recently found evidence that suggests the universe is 2.5 billion years older than previously believed.

If you want to believe in Creationism, fine, but don't try to use science to explain it. We promise we won't use God to explain compact dimensions. You stick to your methods, we'll stick to ours.

That's funny...if evolution has been disproved then why has your side's load of mumbo jumbo and outright lies, Intelligent Design, been ruled a violation of church and state? People like you and Colorado make up outright lies and post them, hoping to fool the unwary. Read a biology textbook, not a load of anti-science propoganda.
