i have been dieting all summer, and still have a little bit of belly i want to lose. unfortunetly, as freshmen, we eat lunch at 10:30 so by the time school is out, i'm going to be starving again. i eat breakfast at 6 and get out of school at 2:30, and can i make it so i don't consume a lot of calories, but still get through the day without being hungry or eating again when i get home?

Hunger cravings may be misinterpreted as thirst. So carry a bottle of water and drink whenever you have a craving. It'll make you feel full. Or, bring along some snacks. Eat small, healthy snacks (low calorie foods like like fruit, nuts, veggies. Stay away from processed foods!) throughout the day to keep your body fueled and your metabolism going strong. It's recommended you eat 5-6 small meals a day, rather than 3 large ones.

carry a low carb snack in your purse and eat it during a mid afternoon break. If your school gives you a hard time, have your doctor write a note stating that waiting so long between meals is not in your best interest as it's not healthy for you to go so many hours without nourishment.

Apples and oranges are available year round and will help with hunger. Also raw nuts, like almonds, fill you up, and give you energy to burn.
