When Bill Clinton was in power, the Bushites criticized most everything he did. Now, if you criticize, you are considered a traitor. America was founded on dissent with the King of England. If we believe everything that the government does is right, we can make George W. Bush a dictator instead of president.

Sadly, American democracy has been falling apart for some years. Now, most Americans are not politically engaged citizens; they mostly avoid politics or just complain. Read "Delusional Democracy - Fixing the Republic Without Overthrowing the Government" to learn what's wrong with our democracy and how to fix it; check it out at www.delusionaldemocracy.com.

I suppose a republican could ask, do liberals feel that republicans are so nieve and ignorant that they blindly follow someone simply because he is a republican.
I think the answer to both you question and the one I posed here is NO. Each is entitled to their own opinion, just because you have run across people who think you a traitor doesn't mean that you are or that all people with similar beliefs and values would look upon you the same.
I am not republican nor democrat. Most of my views are more in line with that of the republican party. My views and opinions are formed by my personal values and my opinions on the way things should be, or the way I would like them to be. What does that make me?

I am a Conservative Republican, and I can answer this way - NO.
I have debated a lot of very intellegent liberals, and on some issues they have even been able get me to see some things, if not totally differently, at least to give it consideration and allow them their opinion. Most of them have done the same for me.
It's only when they do not reciprocate and allow me the same courtesy that I get mad. But that doesn't make them traitors. Differences of opinions is one of the greatest rights we have in this country, and one of our greatest strengths as well. Believe me, we are the envy of a lot of other countries around the world.

In a free country like the US you may feel free to disagree with the government and say so as often as you like.
People who disagree are also free to call you a traitor though obviously not all liberals are traitors. It is only when they take actions contrary to the good of the country, as determined by the current administration, that they could be classified as such.
However, I must admit that I enjoy their behavior after they are called traitors. Quite amusing.
Why would they be thrown in Abu Ghraib? Are they wandering around Iraq committing crimes?

No. I do believe their positions are wrong on most issues. I also believe our founding fathers would agree with me. Of course, liberals would say our founding fathers would agree with them.

And yet all those that don't believe as you do should be thrown in jail? Listen to yourself before you talk. You sound like a unintelligent fool.
